Davita Boutique Hotel

The hotel is very nice and comfotable in the center and good service, nice garden and room very nice, i love this place is make like fammily when i stay here and i am so grate for the serice staff is very friendly and help full.

We stayed here on bookend nights for some trekking. The rooms are a bit small but plenty comfortable, and the facilities work well. The location is good, easy walking distance to eats, clubs, markets. (But tuk-tuks and cyclos are readily available most everywhere in Luang Prabang anyway.)  Even with a large tour group also staying in the hotel during our last night, the place stayed quiet and peaceful, and the service was fast and friendly.

The breakfast in the morning was simple and same for all (fruit, bread, eggs to order, coffee/tea), but it was good and there was plenty of it.

The wifi was quite weak, but welcome to Laos--all the more reason to get out and enjoy!

I'd recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Good comfy hotel in quiet location

The staff here were very friendly and they tried to always help their guests. They helped us rent scooters for a couple days, they helped us get taxi's, they also let us store our bags for 1 day, etc.. This place is located about 1/4 mile from the Night Market. It's easy to get around from here if you want to set up tours or walks. It's located in a neighborhood area which can get a bit noisy at night. We stayed here for 3 nights and although we did enjoy it, it was pretty loud at times. They do provide a breakfast of fresh fruit, bread, juice, coffee, and eggs.

Great staff & location

It's a real mix feeling for the hotel. 
Rooms are okeyish. There is no openable window in any room, pillows are too big, and bathroom extremely dirty (spider net in all the corners, restroom half clean, etc). We even had a leek from the roof in the toilet corner.
Western breakfast is okeyish. Not bad, but nothing special. (lipton tea (!), jam in small plastic box, not toasted bread, fruits not really ready). This is a shame in a country with so much tasty food: could have option with Laotian bkf, or have local honey / jam (there is a profusion of fruit!)
Then there was no bicycle, nor umbrellas, unstable wifi, no local maps with good tips AND the worst is a silly rooster. The first room we were, the next door neighbour has a rooster who has the habit to sing ALL NIGHT LONG instead of only at sunrise! The hotel is not entirely responsible, but they could speak with their neighbour and find together a solution.
Finally, the best point is the staff.
All of them were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us to arrange taxi, change our room bcs of rooster, etc
Last negative point, they accept cash only for payment but, if you insist, nice staff can bring you to another hotel where you can pay by card (+3% charge...).

Good location but...

Positives are excellent position near the markets, great shower and comfortable beds. staff were OK.

The big negative is that the rooms are dark and depressing. Each room has a very small window with shutters fixed shut, many opening onto a dim corridor.  You can open the window but there are no insect screens (there is a large pond at the back of the hotel). White walls in the bedroom and unpainted concrete  with dabs of filler added to 800 watts of downlighting in the bedroom made it unpleasant.

Basic breakfast with very limited choice of bread, eggs, jam. Pleasant courtyard but no comfortable recliners/seating which you really need as you don't want to stay in your room.  The pond water was green, which reflected the general standard.

Cleaning was poor. The shower screen looks like it's never been cleaned properly. Our bathroom had several mosquitos in it when we arrived. This was the case during our three days.

No tea or coffee making facilities.
Not good if you are a light sleeper as a cockerel which sounded like it was next to the hotel starts up from 4.30 and onto 6.30

Day security is lax.All our groups  door keys were left out behind reception which was not staffed
