Mama Leurth Sunset Guesthouse

We stayed for 2 nights after moving from bungalows just up the road. We wished we had stayed at Mama Leurth for our entire time in Don Det. The rooms are a good price, clean, spacious and good air con. Also, lots of room to put your stuff if you are backpacking. The staff were very nice and helpful. Highly recommended

Myself and my partner stayed here for four nights. We kept extending our stay as we were very happy with the accommodation.

Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and we did a washing load there which came back fresh and smelt good too. 

-We had a local shop and restaurant practically next door (great food)-

The WiFi worked well and the room had AC and a fan. Both very good. 

Would highly recommend this place, it’s a great value for money and seemed to be the same price as certain other places which were much smaller and only offered a fan.

Not far from the boat landing and reasonably popular.

A lot of people come to Don Det to stay in a bungalow next to the river but if you are over that and want a decent accommodation then consider this guesthouse.

Most bungalows range from filthy hovels to reasonable but are all small and not that much cheaper than a decent room.

Past criticism regarding lack of furniture appears to have been listened to as this year a table and 2 chairs came with the room

Very nice Guest house, with air-conditioning and hot water. you get a very big, quite and super clean room for less money. you will love the sunset there. also the staff is very lovely. 100% recommendable      

The hotel is located at the sunset side of Don Det with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The room was basic but clean and had everything what we needed. The hosts were very friendly and helped us to organize a tour. We also rented a bicycle here to explore the island. All in all it is a good option for low money.

We showed up to don det without any places booked. And stumbled across this place. There were three of us in one three bed room. Good air con clean rooms and comfortable enough beds! Overall it was a decent stay and in a pretty good location. I would recommend booking any tours through the company that they promote/are partnered with. That was a disaster so avoid that 

It is in a good location near centre of village but also quiet. Rooms are big and good value. My one thing against this place is if you don't ask room will not be cleaned. It is a comfortable stay though. Recommended. 

Lovely place on the island. Very large room, hard but comfortable bed. WiFi was good most of the time.  Bathroom was good, shower was hot. Probably one of the better places to stay on the island looking at other places.  Great location with restaurant nearby for breakfast. 

it was an emergency stay for us as in our originally booked Bungalow were really strange animals, even we had mosquito nets. Mama Leurth guesthouse is Ok, nothing special but good for sleeping and have a rest. it was clean, bathroom was good as well. a/c worked as it should and we had a good stay here.
