Khao Paeng Guesthouse

Best room I've had in South East Asia so far! It was double bed room. The bed had perfectly clean linen and a very nice mattress. There was both fan and aircon. The bathroom had ventilation and was just generally really clean. The room had a terrace with a hammock, a chair and a small table. Nice staff even though they didn't speak much English. And all this for about 11 dollars pr night. ONLY BAD THING: The guesthouse is located on the island Don Khone. When you want to just walk/bike around the area or cross the bridge to Don Det there will be two women, who'll want you to pay 35.000 Kip for walking/biking the street or crossing the bridge. This is a SCAM! You only have to pay if you want to go see the waterfall that's located on Don Khone. We just told them no thank you and continued. The tourist information on Don Det told us that this was a scam.
