The price is really good. The room is simple but has a double bed or two singles. PEople there is friendly. During the night try not to turn on the lights ( imagine that on the rest of the island is the same) becuase you will find a lot of insects coming to your room. Higly recommended

The hotel is so fresh and new that it is brealy furnished. It has only a bad. The room is very big with a large balcony. Not the cleanest- but cleane. No breakfast. I must say it didn't bother us. Compare to other hotels/guesthouse we saw there- it was luxury. And the price was 10$!!!
So we staied there 3 nights and we really reccomand.

We arrived and had a look at a few options on the island - after looking at the horrifically run due. And dirty bungalows on Offer, this was a welcome change -clean tiled floor with a large clean bathroom and air conditioning.  

The family who own it are very friendly and the price was good.

I would recommend this  - and did -  we met others who were not impressed with their accommodation and they moved here after their first night!

But be one of the best budget accomodations in Don Det

The guesthouse is in the northern part of Don Det and in the main built-up area. It is not signposted but we had no problem finding it by asking the locals.

We were checked in fairly quickly with no formalities. The room was an adequate size. We had an upstairs room with fan. There was no mosquito net but this was not a problem. The wi-fi was temperamental. The bathroom appeared to have a hot shower but we weren’t able to get any hot water from it. The room was spotless.

Quality Accommodation

My partner and I stayed here for one night before trying somewhere else on the island and thought it was decent value for money for the one night. 

The room was quite big and clean but very basic.. there was a bed and that's it! Also I think I remember the wi-fi being pretty poor if not completely non existent.

The thing that made us move was how many bugs got into our room. I am a squeamish person anyway so to have over 10 HUGE cricket cockrachey beast things hopping around your room in the middle of the night was an actual nightmare for me. I could get no sleep until they were all killed (which was impossible as there were actually indestructible). I don't understand how they got in as they were so huge it seems impossible that they could have fitted through the gap in the door frame. This gap seemed to be the gateway for all the other bugs that decided to invade though like mosquitoes etc. 

Unfortunately none of the accommodation seems to be of a great standard on Don Det but this seemed like one of the better options as it was close to everything but not noisy and on a high floor which made me feel a bit safer.
