KbH-Karakol based Hostel

KbH cost 450 som for a dorm bed  which is marginally more than the 400 som I paid elsewhere, but it was very much worth it. It was clean, staff was nice, lavatories were really very good... more than anything else, the place has a nice atmosphere and the staff speak English.

a friend recommended me this hostel. when i arrived the owner welcomed me with a big smile on her face and asked how was the ride from Bishkek.
all the stuffs are kind, the place was very clean and it was also possible to use the kitchen there.
i absolutely recommend this place. it is cheap and worth the money and its a good opportunity to meet other travelers.
the hostel located in a very good location' a bit walk from the market and all the interesting places!

I stayed at KbH Hostel for 4 days in August 2019. It was probably not only one of the best hostels in Kyrgyzstan, but one of the best hostels I have stayed at so far! The location is fantastic (3 streets from the town center), with two convenience stores round the corner, and one street away from the 101 marshrutka to karakol valley. The rooms and toilets were clean, there was hot water in the evenings, and the wifi was great. There are also washing facilities and a clothes line in the garden for clothes to dry. But best of all was probably the staff and owner, who were welcoming and very helpful with tips. Along with the Ala Kul/Altyn Arashan trek or visiting Jeti Oguz, a must visit when in Karakol!   

When travelling through Kyrgyzstan and its wonderful Karakol scenery, KBH is a wonderful place to come home to. Like-minded spirits and a wonderful host are awaiting you. A special shout out to the lady of the house. KBH does check-off all the boxers a traveller needs. Thanks again 🙏💚

this hostel is near the city center( 5 min walking , its a new brand and every thing was very clean , the break fast wasn’t include it was very good as well

Spacious dorms, comfy mattress & warm soft blankets. Well equipped kitchen. Very good shower/toilet area. Everything seems brand new and is spotless clean. You can use washing machine for a small extra charge. Breakfast available for 150 S. Only 3 blocks from the main street, so short 5 min walk. The French volunteering couple is super nice and helpful and provides you with all kind of information , always with a smile. Thanks so much .... a pity for others you won't be there soon

I stayed at the hostel with my friends. It is located close to the city center, the bus station is about 20 minutes walk away. The host is really sweet and friendly. She refused to charge for an omelette as it was slightly burnt. She also arranged for a drive to take us up to Altyn Arashan valley in a day and back.

We left our camera tripod while checking out of the hostel and the host helped us get it back in Bishkek by sending it through a taxi to our hostel next day. Really kind and nice of her to do that!

Nice receptionist who was very efficient. Also loved their breakfast. Dorms were very spacious and since it was in the quiet side of the city among birch trees and classic Russian-styled houses, we had a nice sleep and enjoyed walking around the area.

The vibe here is great - low music, nicely relaxed, good big kitchen, a great place to hang out. If I was self catering and in Karakol for a while I'd probably consider it.

But reception wasn't staffed in the evening (had to go to the owner's house); and in the morning I was told "830 is too late for breakfast" and "you should have ordered breakfast yesterday" (although it hadn't been mentioned when I checked in). I got the feeling they don't really do service. Not a good send-off - hungry, and **too early** to get breakfast anywhere else!
