Acacia Tree Lodge

We were not lucky on the night we stayed. There was a power outage late night in parts of Kenya and hotel’s power generator was on and it made loud noises. We could not sleep well. We understood that it was not hotel’s fault. All the staffs there are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and sufficient. We will come back after our safari trip and we hope room will be quiet.

Super pleased with our stay here! The room was clean, cutely decorated with lots of space. Shower was big and had ample hot water (after about 30 secs of running).Staff was very friendly with extra props for the kitchen crew and chefs. The food was so good at the end of our Nairobi trip we returned to Acacia Tree just to eat.

This is a very cosy place to stay.  Despite being a hotel, you get the feeling of being at home with very intentional and friendly customer service.  The staff were extremely warm and proactive in offering help.  And the food options from Zeke’s Cafe, right on the property, were excellent!  Can’t rave too much about this place that provides excellent customer service, all for a greater good!

Acacia tree lodge was a comfortable, clean, and safe stay in a lovely part of town.

Acacia Tree Lodge is a place with a very welcoming atmosphere. The service is excellent. Food is always served quickly and is great. Rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. When in Nairobi again, I hope to be back.

Cleanliness landscapeI was shown a room with a kitchen on the web when I booked but I stayed in a room without kitchen. My best stay in Kenya. Keep it up!

I thought the reviews were too good to be true, but the Acacia Tree really is a gem, and at a great price! The hotel and rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated, bed was comfy, and staff were friendly. Karen is also a lovely part of Nairobi and close to some of the best attractions (car or Uber needed). I will definitely be back if I can get a room again at this top rated hotel.

The hotel stands in well maintained gardens in a secure and serene environment, in a quiet residential area, away from the traffic and noise of downtown Nairobi.Within easy reach of giraffe centre and Nairobi National Park together with Wilson airport, as well as new shopping malls and local bars.

Excellence and Comfort for a greater good

True gem at affordable price

We only stayed over 1 night, and left after breakfast. Very nice staff, clean, comfortable rooms, very nice breakfast and a calm area where it feels safe. Since the walls, floor and ceiling are stone, all sounds echo in the building and could be disturbing if many or noisy guests were around ( we had a very calm night)

What a lovely hotel!  The grounds are beautiful, the hotel attractive, the rooms comfortable. But the best part was the very friendly staff - so we and welcoming. And to top it off, the profits from the hotel go back to the community and they employee and train disadvantaged workers. A perfect combination!

Beautiful, relaxing hotel with a social impact!

Two of us stayed here for three days, and the location is great! Far enough from the hustle and bustle to be quiet and relaxing, but close enough to get to what you want in Nairobi easily. The service and the staff are absolutely wonderful! We had trouble connecting with the WiFi, and they were very generous to provide us with an extra "boost" type of thing that plugs into an outlet, but we weren't really ever able to connect. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and the grounds are pretty. The menu is a little limited for vegetarians/vegans, but you can request for something else to be made (which is great!), and the included breakfast is wonderful!

Relaxing!

My colleagues and I enjoyed the atmosphere at Acacia Tree Lodge during our short stay for business meetings in Karen. The lodge has very friendly and helpful staff, it has a homely feel, nice safari-style decorated rooms with large beds. Great taxi driver attached to the lodge. Calm TV-room upstairs where we also did some work

Great stay at Acacia Tree Lodge

This lodge is lovely, it is comfortable, cosy and homely. The staff are fantastic, they are very hospitable and take good care of you. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have everything you need. The breakfast was tasty, there was a good variety. The property has a lovely and well kept garden. The location is a little far from the city, you need to use a car. The only negative from our stay was the cost of the driver taking us to the city and back. I think the driver works independently but is associated with the lodge, he really does need to reconsider the costs, they are far to high for a 8 km drive each way!I believe some of the proceeds from the lodge help local communities build better lives, it would be good to see the impact of this at the lodge and maybe a bit more information, this could help with donations.

Very Nice Lodge

This is a great lodge. Everything is done with care and attention to detail. It feels like luxury accommodation for a budget. This part of town is also wonderful. If you're visiting Nairobi, I recommend staying in Karen. Many good restaurants and relatively close to tourist attractions, easy to get to the airport. Additionally, I could barely stand the pollution in the Nairobi CBD, but I had no problem staying among the luscious gardens of this area. Enjoy!
