 Great views,🕺🕺 relaxing🤗🤗 and most calm gate away, amazing cosy pool,🏝️🏝️ tantalizing food 🥘🍝🍟and presentation too👏👏👏, great drinks 🥂🥂and music🎻🎸🎺🎷.

This is our second time to this lodge on each visit to Kenya. We absolutely love this little hidden gem! Food is amazing, proximity to airport is now literary 15 minutes, it is our first taste of safari on the go. This time around it was very dry and we experienced another side of the nature and resilience of wildlife. We love to hike among zebras and antelopes and we would whole heartedly recommend this lodge to travellers.

I enjoyed my stay for 3days,the ambiance is great,food is delicious,would recommend massage by ANN she has a healing touch of hands 10/10.The rooms are clean and good decor,enjoyed the nature walk around

We stayed here for our last night in kenya.  It is a beautiful lodge. We were in room 30 - the furthest from the restaurant with its own little garden. It was a lovely room with a full mosquito net and the room was sprayed around 6 pm too. The bathroom was lovely and, oh the luxury, lots of hot water and a powerful shower! And lovely soft towels.  The bed was very comfortable and it was a treat to get two pillows and not have to improvise! Food was excellent and very plentiful.  We enjoyed it very much. The grounds are well laid out with some very mischievous Vervet monkeys about who were having great fun playing on the hammocks! It was lovely to wake up and open the door to find an Impala eating our grass. We went on the game drive - you have to take a ranger with you for 1000Ks. It was sad to see everywhere so dry so I hope the rains arrive on time! The animals need it. All the staff were so lovely and kind. We were not over fond of the loud reggae music played at the bar and it was good when Godfrey arrived and turned it down, but apart from that it was pretty perfect. Next time we will stay longer than one night and the next day until we left for the airport. Thoroughly recommend this place! We loved it.

I was very surprised by the negative reviews.  We stayed here as a family of 6 for 3 nights.  We are an American family-and therefore we know what bad service is! 

The staff: Amazing!  From check-in to security to the restaurant.  Kind and attentative.  Shout out to Dillan-took us on a one hour walk around the reserve and pointed out animals, etc.  

The property: Beautiful, tranquil and authentic.  The rooms are so beautiful and comfortable!

The food: Excellent! Delicious and diverse.  

This was an incredible way to begin our Kenyan vacation. 

Could add much, much more, needless to say-we will definitely be back if we return to Kenya!

I recently went to Swara Acacia Lodge as a surprise trip organized by my boyfriend and it was amazing. I enjoyed the entire experience from the food, the service and the serene natural environment. If you're looking for a place to relax away from the city and enjoy the natural environment then this is definitely the place for you. 
I have to mention that we were here during off season and also during the week and the service was exceptional with great attention to detail. From the moment we checked in, the staff was really amazing to us.  They made sure to call us before meals to confirm what times we would be at the restaurant for meals; they also provided hot water bottles to keep us warm every night and always checked to see if we needed anything. They went above and beyond to celebrate us as we were celebrating our anniversary and we felt so special the entire time. We also spent some time doing archery and going out for nature walks and we were accompanied by a staff member who was so professional and knowledgeable during these activities. Our room was so pleasant and I loved how everything is made from natural materials so there was no need for air conditioning indoors. Also loved the cheetah theme in the room and the fact that the room was kept clean during the day and would be sprayed every evening to protect from mosquitoes and bugs.
    In addition to everything, I met the tailor who sews everything that is sold in the shops and she was kind enough to take my measurements and custom make some pants for me with the materials that I picked out. Everything was completed on time and made so well. 
Generally, our entire stay was pleasant and with great attention to detail. Based on our experience, my boyfriend and I definitely agreed to go back again and try all the other activities that we didn't end up doing. I would advice anyone to plan ahead and call ahead of time before going. Also, definitely try to go during off season and on week days if you love to enjoy some quiet time without many guests. Again, I really enjoyed my experience and can't wait to go back again another time! ❤️

The place was amazing,had my 21st birthday there and the service was good,beds super comfortable,we didn't see much on the game drive though nor did I get the chance for the spa. But i really enjoyed my stay there and would recommend the place

Like everyone else who has commented, I can’t rate this place highly enough. I recently visited Swara Acacia Lodge after hearing great things about it, one of it being away from the hassle and bustle of Nairobi city. I have to say I was not disappointed. From the moment you arrive the staff greet you with huge smiles and warmth. The location of the lodge is in the middle of private reserve and so it is extremely peaceful and beautiful. You can literally sit in a chair with a glass of wine  and watch tall giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, ostrich and other animals graze and drink at the water hole. 
The setting is breath taking and the lodge is fabulous with atmospheric with thatched roof, Big fireplace near dining area. My birthday started with an evening game drive with friends who were having fun. Then I was serenaded, and a birthday cake was presented at the bush to my surprise! I was so happy!!! I will never forget this birthday, the best one ever and I want to thank everyone at Swara Acacia lodge for making it such a wonderful stay. Don’t hesitate in booking, you will have the time of your life!

Ooh! Without forgetting, there is a shop and a masseuse lady!


We just spent 3 nights and absolutely loved it!!! The kids had so much fun, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was good, the room was very spacious and beautiful and we got to see lots of animals very up close. We will definitely be going back and bringing guests with us. We feel recharged and full of memories :)

This is not the first stay here. We have seen this camp grow and expand. We love this place as a family. It is a great team, they care about children. The food is excellent and the value for money is very Good. The accommodation is also very fine. So fully recommend this camp/Loge.

The Swara Acacia Camp has many advantages over many similar places and it’s hard not to keep going back once you discover it.
Located on Athi Plains the camp is a short drive from Nairobi City though it still give visitors a glimpse of a safari owing to the reasonable numbers of animals and birds that roam around and the beautiful plains.  Everything about the camp ranging from the rooms to the meals is authentic besides being fairly priced.

Exceptional Experience

Our 2 bedroom lodge was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. We particularly liked that our 5 year olds meal was served first. The food was freshly cooked and if high quality. 
It is safe to walk around the grounds, we saw Giraffes, Zebras and lots of monkeys.

Swara Acacia lodge is along mombasa road the lodge is inside a park 
They have  variety of activities for the young ones but not a baby pool.

We decided to go for new year’s lunch (a family of six) and were pleasantly surprised by the serene and beautiful environment. However, the service from the waiters was very poor. Initially we were seated in the sofas (waiting area) but were not told whether they were preparing a table or… after 15 minutes I went to talk to the supervisor to find out what was going on. She promised to give me an update in 5 minutes. After another 15 minutes (now 30 minutes) without anyone coming over I again went to ask what was happening. At that time we were assigned a waiter (after 30 minutes) he came and took our orders and found us a table. We waited for 2.5 hours before our entrees were served! The main meal came about 20 minutes after that. To make matters worse I found a fly in my salad - see picture! During the 3 hours wait I googled Trip Advisor and found a number of reviews about many flies - I saw many flies around the kitchen area. On reporting the fly and long wait to the supervisor she mumbled something about being pulled to some other duties… no real apology… SMH. At the end of the ordeal I was charged the full amount for the food - no offer to waive one dish to amend for the poor service as any decent restaurant would have offered. The one redeeming aspect was the waiter we had, Nicholas Nduta, who apologized profusely and did his best. The waiters need training on communicating with customers - good communication and updates would have turned this negative experience to a positive one.
