I had a 12 hour layover in Nairobi and this hotel was convenient, clean and quiet with good amenities for the price.  The room was well furnished and provided a nice quiet chance opportunity to catch up on sleep.  the room was average size, but all the electrical plugs in the room and fixtures in the bathroom worked.  The only problem was that there was only one channel on the television that was changed only in the front office, and no news was available.  Overall a good stay relatively close to the airport.

Good Layover hotel at NBO

We used the hotel for a brief stay in between flights from NBO airport. Very basic hotel but rooms were clean and tidy. Although it was noisy. Staff were helpful as the booking was last minute, they arranged taxi pickup from and back to the airport (10 min journey). Free Wi-fi

Ideal for short stay near NBO aiport

The signpost had fallen down we were told, so we couldn't locate the hotel for a while, until the receptionist came to meet us at the nearby fuel station. She was very welcoming and pleasant.
The rooms are behind a nightclub and the worst thing is that you either pass through the nightclub to get to your room (smell or urine towards the bar area - could be a toilet nearby)  or wend you way through back corridors past the butchers and all sorts of other utility rooms. The reception is a desk in a small room and the staff would often disappear - the phone in the room had no instructions how to reach the staff so I resorted to ringing a doorbell in the hope that someone would come - no one came! 
The room was nice and clean, new mattress and clean linens. The wifi works and was reliable. Hot water and fresh clean towels. The exterior was dreadful - lack of visible staff and lots of dark corners mean you don't feel particularly safe. I ordered breakfast in room as I couldn't see a restaurant - it never came.

Good room, terrible surroundings

We stayed here for two nights and cancelled our last night it was that bad. The food was terrible and took over an hour to get even pre ordered. The reception staff were cold and rude and didn't smile or help with anything. The hotel is in between night clubs so we had loud music playing til 3 am.. It was very loud. The sheets had holes in them and dried blood and they only give you one towel as a couple in the room. Very dingy place. Not worth the money you pay and not great security either.

Terrible!

We stayed here for our last night in nairobi as it was so close to the airport. We knew it was just a cheapy and that's fine with us, but the website claimed it had large luxurious unique rooms, a cocktail bar, a multi-cuisine kitchen which included African food. It just sounded ideal for our last night. 
Firstly, finding the hotel was a nightmare, there were roadworks going on so the entrance was closed and we couldn't find a way in, we ended up going in via a petrol station and chancing our luck. The lady who 'greeted' us at reception couldn't even manage a smile or a hello to us, very unwelcoming and seemed like she just couldn't be bothered. When we wanted to pay by card it almost seemed like we were an inconvenience, telling us to return later. 
As for our room, the site said 'each room here will provide you with a tv, HOT TUB, and minibar...and you can enjoy a garden view from the room.' 
We had a TV, that part wasn't false, but a hot tub or minibar?! Seriously? Who wrote these descriptions?! Completely false advertisement!
As for the garden view, our window was right up against a set of steps and what seemed to be entrance or exit steps which was extremely noisy at night, so much so we thought someone was trying to get in with all the banging and we asked the receptionist to check it was all okay. 

When we went for dinner that evening with our 2 Kenyan friends they told us they didn't offer cocktails or Kenyan food as described, only Indian food. After our Kenyan friend talked with the waiter he agreed I could have chapati and lentils, very strange set up. We then waited almost an hour and half (!!!) for our food and tbh by the time it came we just wanted to go back to our rooms as we were exhausted. 
Come bedtime, apart from the noiseyness outside our room we discovered our mosquito net was covered with large holes and we woke covered in bites. 
All in all just an extremely unpleasant stay, we feel completely duped by the false description and this is the first negative tripadvisor review I've ever left- that tells you how bad it was!
