Arkland palace hotel 
Right in the center of town , located on the upper floors of a building . Very loud and noisy but that's expected from the location . For me it was not an issue as I'm used to any situation and earplugs are always a lifesaver. Anywhere you want to go in Nairobi , matatus are available just steps away . Also the airport shuttle is literally right across the street from the hotel . Rooms are outdated , and old , however you get what you pay for . Surprisingly very nice hot shower , very nice staff at the reception. If your on a budget , want to be in town and looking for safe place , this is a good option . 

For 1,200 KSH (8$) for a room for two, you get everything you need! Clean, very hot water in the shower, wifi in the reception area and you are right in the center of Nairobi! The only problem I had is the noise.. Nairobi is a city that never stops..! buy earplugs before you try to sleep.. :)

Good budget option center of town 

Cheap and good!

Uh, yeah. We wanted a cheap place to stay in the center of town, and this place is exactly that. The rooms start at 1200 khs and increase in price after that.
We had a single room on the 7th floor and the view was great, but it was SUPER noisy at night, like obnoxiously loud. 
It was advertised that there was wifi, and there was a network, but you cannot get online.
Our TV did not have an antenna and was too fuzzy to watch the one station that almost came in.
The shower did have hot water though, so that was great.
Oh, but I forgot to mention that our floor flooded and it seeped about halfway into our bedroom almost reaching our clothes on the floor. Yikes.
And they were extremely adamant about keeping our passports while we were inside the hotel. 

Not great, but definitely not the worst place I have ever stayed.


Budget, noisy, no wifi but hot water

Coming from Eldoret by shuttle I had 4 hours before I needed to be at airport so I checked in here. The rooms are basic but clean and at 1200 ksh (1500 double) they are affordable. From here I used an uber for only 600 to JKIA airport.

Cheap accomodation in Nairobi CBD

The area is very noisy...don't expect to sleep unless you have ear plugs. Room was quite clean, one towel for 2 people in the room, bathroom decently clean. Remember you are in Nairobi and for this price you can't expect more than that.
There is no wifi like they advertise
