Vintage Boutique Hotel's main strength is their staff. They have extremely nice staff members, always available to help, and also english speaking. They helped me out a lot during my stay in Astana, and most of the time for a tourist, this is the only thing you need from an hotel when visiting for the first time a place and in which you don't speak the local languages.

The hotel's restaurant is great, providing very tasty food at good prices.

The only negative thing I could talk of and that which can be improved easily, is the wifi's reception in the room (at least mine didn't have good wifi signal).

Definetely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Astana.

Excellent staff

The stay in the hotel was enjoyable, the rooms are beautifully decorated, the staff is friendly, bus stops nearby connect to sights of interest on both sides of the river, there are good restaurants nearby. My room was ready when I arrived at 7 in the morning. This is a small hotel. The strage thing is that breakfast is only served from 9 am, unusual for me as early riser.

Great hotel with good bus connections

Tiny hotel with 6 rooms, 2 spas and a restaurant. Staff is very friendly. Taxi drivers have a little issue to find it. Even though when I stayed 4 rooms very occupied I didn't see any guests. I saw only 3-4 staff at the hotel and all of them were very nice. Feels that they work only for you. Family atmosphere and you get to know people who work there good. Altyn from the reception was very friendly and took care of everything very fast. Had some trouble to figure out how the shower works, but at the end everything was fine. Very homie.

Family atmosphere

The hotel is small - apparently only 6 rooms BUT I spent a few days there while fulfilling a contract in the area and found the room and dining facilities and staff totally delightful. My en suite room, on the first floor, was spacious and beautifully decorated - as is the entire hotel.  The bathroom was beautifully designed though the bath had so many options for showering from all angles that I did not quite master all of them!  In addition to the usual bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner and bath gels, there were toothbrushes, travel size toothpaste,combs and razors all attractively and hygienically wrapped.  Large bottled water was also provided with extras available on request. There is also a well stocked bar fridge which I did not make use of.  Comfortable bed, roomy wardrobes plus gowns and slippers are added enhancements. The flat screen TV provided a wide range ot channels including a few in English.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner - and very flexible hours - are available in the pleasant dining room - and served by helpful staff.  Those who do not have English are able to communicate via smart phone translators which enabled us to obtain our requests without difficulty.

I seldom eat at hotels where I stay but as I was totally unfamiliar with the surrounds and having to Russian or Kezakh language abilities other than both for 'thank you', I and a colleague opted to eat in and were very pleased with the choices,the quality and the presentation. As a vegetarian I was advised ahead of time that I might have problems obtaining vegetarian options. Though this was the situation at the refectory where I worked for a few days, the hotel menu provided good, tasty vegetarian dishes at each meal.

Given the time difference between Kezakhstan and the UK we arrived in the early hours of the morning and I left at 4 am on my day of departure but it made no difference what time of day or night there was always a staff member on duty at reception. Some spoke and understood English and those who did not were able to communicate via smart phone translators.  ALL staff members were most pleasant and helpful no matter what the hour.  At time of check out I did actually have an interpreter with me and I was grateful for the explanation of the Cyrillic writing on the hotel and meal accounts.
I was not in Astana long enough to get a good grasp of its geography though I was able to shop at a shopping centre within walking distance of the hotel, guided by my interpreter.  Mostly I made use of transport provided by my work and was able to view the remarkably futuristic architecture of the city. the temperature on my arrival was minus 22 degrees and at my departure was minus 18 with averaging about minsu 10 degrees during the day. A extra warm down jacket, snow boots a warm hat that covers your ears and very warm cloves are a must at this time of year. However indoor locations and transport are kept at VERY warm temperatures so garment layering is important. (I actually used the room's fan at night given the warm temperature from the heating!)
I did not have time to use the splash pool or the related spa facilities.

Delightful experience

I had quite a splendid stay in the hotel. Beautiful location in the hearth of Astana. The service could be improved but otherwise it is perfect for someone to visit with his family. Spacious rooms with lots of amenities.
