I wanted to escape from my bad hotel choice Baiterek premium and chose Astaná Park at my guide book. I had read about the noise night club but as it was a Tuesday the staff said not to worry and there was really no noise.
There was no air conditioning g (it seems normal in Astana). Room ok , big bathroom , good bed. I the morning it was a short walk from the beach . 
It was a good laid-back. I would love to stay there again to enjoy the park and its attractions , who knows?

Chill-out at the park

The hotel is nice for its price, stuff is polite, but if you want to sleep well that hotel is not for you. In front of hotel there is karaoke with extremely LOUD music. My room was on the 1st floor, I closed the windows, but it didn't help much. I could't sleep because of blasting music. Such a shame, because hotel itself is not bad.

Had a short night rest at this hotel. First off all we are greated by a nice gentleman at check inn, we try to pay our rooms straight away but not possible since credit card machines dont work. so we decide to pay day after.
the we walk to our rooms on the third floor, no elevator in the hotel.
the in my room there is a roof window that there are no blinds or curtains to cover it up. so get ready to wake up when the sun is up.

Not good

simple hotel, they don't even have an elevator. Cheap, simple beds. Staff is speaking basic english. No time to check the breakfast. But windows are screwed shut, no chance to open the window (at least in my room). Ridiculous.

When I checked into my room immediately I said the AC is making some strange noise and it will be impossible to sleep with this noise ( even with the earplugs I had) . They said they would fix while I went to breakfast. So I went to breakfast.  I asked, "what is for breakfast" as there was no buffet. The waiter said, "I don't know, the same like yesterday". My friend and I  explained we just now checked in so we don't know what they had yesterday".  (LOL)  We asked to start with a cafe Americano and a guy came from the back in what looked like sleeping shorts and t-shirt to fixed the coffee. I told my friend, "at least he washed his hands".  Another waiter came to tell us what they had. I did NOT want porridge so I had to ask for a salad. After breakfast, I went back to the room to take a nap and wake later for work but as I said, it was impossible as the noise was off for all of 20 minutes (they fixed it temporarily)  and then the noise returned. I ended up changing rooms, showered and went to work only to come back later that night very tired and jet lagged. I ignored the NOISE  from the party outside as I was tired enough to pass out no matter what. I told myself at least I like that song, "shape of you", as Ed Sheeran sung me to sleep  I woke that next morning only wanting a shower to start my day. There was NO hot water. I came to the front desk to ask about it (using sign language as if water were falling over my head) . They came to the room were I ran the cold water and they left. Someone came back to say again "NORMAL." At this point I'm in "WTF MODE".   I turned off all the air in the room and waited until my body temp was hot enough to actually enjoy a cold shower.  I could not manage the shower but managed a PTA. That means washing all the naughty parts with a cool towel.  If we have to pay for this room I will call the president of Astana and tell him to start a special committee to check up on these type things . I just sang for him the previous night in the MEGA HILTON.  So why wasn't I staying there. That's another story. You'll have to buy the book. OH and I forgot to mention the fresh carrot apple juice I ordered this morning at breakfast that ended up being apple juice with one carrot. LOL  After explaining, they took it to the kitchen, stirred it up to make it orange and brought it back out. I give up. My boss owes me a MASSAGE.
