I book the hotel after lots of search, it is a good hotel, priced well, the staff are extremely helpful, the rooms are very clean and what I liked best it is very close to the old city, that must be seen and from the old city walk across the bridge and a nice walk through the park and you come to the new city which was once a swamp, and a supermarket 100 mtrs from the hotel, walking to the river there is an open air restaurant great food and beer on tap, I loved the location of the hotel, so book this hotel and admire the old architecture that they have not allowed to change

Unforgettable experience! Restaurant at Brown’s was amazing, delicious food! Room was in perfect conditions, so clean and very happy to find Champagne and chocolate at the arrival inside the room. Continental breakfast very rich with pancakes and waffles. Waitress very helpfull and kind. I would love to come back again!

I love staying at Brown. This is my third visit. The staff is very kind to me and always willing to go the extra mile. The area is perfect. I enjoy walking around the neighborhood. There are pharmacies, restaurants and malls in the surrounding area. I feel very safe. I am looking forward to staying at Brown again. I highly recommend the kind staff, beautiful neighborhood and piece of mind the Brown Hotel allows.

brilliant 3 night stay.

Recently stayed in the Brown Hotel Astana with a group of friends. Hotel was comfortable but there was a slight communication issue with the reception staff on check in - no information on timing of breakfast or check out. Location is ideal for Congress Hall & Concert Hall. Hotel had advertised a bar, but this is the breakfast room.

Good location

Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Staff arranged an very early morning transfer to airport. Good value.

Convenient Location 

I am from California and have stayed at the Brown Hotel twice now. I absolutely love this hotel. It is small and family owned. I believe they have 8 rooms. Their breakfast is delicious, filling, and as if your mother made it with love. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy. I also like the bathroom size. Because of odd flight times, I tend to arrive in the middle of the night (between 3 and 4 am). Although they may be sleeping in the lobby, I am very appreciative that they are there as arriving to a foreign country in the middle of the night is a tad stressful. Unfortunately, I do not speak Russian and their English is limited, but I wish I could tell them in their native language how happy I am to stay there.большое спасибо, Brown Hotel!

Love This Place

Great value, I stayed here 3 nights August 2018. It’s a bit far from the things I want to see (the new architecture on the other side of the river) but it was a beautiful walk to get there.

Beautiful BIG quiet rooms, helpful staff, reliable WiFi, brand new bathroom. Some of the staff speak English well. Two electrical plugs by the bed, one on each side. 

There are literally dozens of currency exchange places a few blocks away on Republica Avenue. 

To get here from the airport, take bus #10 (I caught it about 100 meters in front of the arrivals terminal), and it stops in front of Halyk Bank, just a block away.

Beautiful quiet rooms, helpful staff, reliable WiFi, brand new bathroom

No surprises - everything is like expected - and worth what you pay for this hotel.
