5 star standard for a price of a hostel! Beautiful, freshly renovated rooms. Everything is included and the stuff is amazing. They helped us out with figuring out our onward journey and took care of booking a tour for half the price even after we left! Definitely get the breakfast as it is a full size meal, not just coffee like many other places. Stay here if you are in Petra. Thank you for everything again!

My husband and I booked this hotel through booking.com. We stayed here for three nights while visiting Petra during a self-organised tour of Jordan. We came by taxi from Amman via Karak. 
This hotel offers free shuttle service to and from Petra from early morning to 7pm and it's only a short drive away. My husband and I spent two days visiting Petra , which made this hotel an ideal location.  
I would highly recommend this hotel if visiting Petra. 
Firstly, the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I found they went out of their way to assist us. I had an unfortunate injury to my foot while in Petra and the reception member was prompt to go to the local pharmacy and get some supplies to help me. 
The rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. The bathroom has a good bath/shower - just what you need after trekking Petra! 
I encountered a problem with the flush which was promptly repaired on reporting it. 
The breakfast buffet is lovely with a variety of breads, salads, and warm food etc. 
The restaurant is large with fantastic views. 
We had the dinner buffet twice which is reasonably priced and has a good selection of wholesome foods for veg and non-veg alike; including roast chicken, lamb, pasta, rice and a variety of salads. 
There is a pool and Turkish bath which we did not use. 
The only issue was that the wifi had an erratic connection - it seemed to drop at busy times. 
Thank you to all the staff - I can only recall the names of a few such as Odeh, Hisham  Mahir and Ali but everyone was great.

I was here for 4 days rooms are very clean and generous. the staff very friendly and accommodating. one gets any help. The breakfast offers a lot of choices. I can only recommend this hotel. In addition, it is also very centrally located.

“Perfect”

The Al Anbat III is adjacent to the Al Anbat II (reception is in Al Anbat II).  It is a family-owned business (along with the Al Anbat, which is more upscale (and uphill).  It has clean, good-sized rooms, and necessary amenities (hot water, heating and cooling, breakfast...).  It is located right in "mid-town" Wadi Musa: near restaurants and shops.  It is an easy 15-20 minute walk to the Petra Visitors Center (all downhill), and about a 30-40 minute walk from the Visitors Center (all uphill).  There is also a shuttle, but I never bothered to use it.  The staff is helpful and friendly.  Just to be clear: this is not a luxury hotel.  However, it is a good value, and is a very nice hotel.

I have booked through Booking.com Al Anbat Midtown 2. On arrival settled in Al Anbat Midtown 3, located next door, although the price of rooms at Al Anbat Midtown 3 more. Nothing much to expect from a hotel 1 stars not necessary, especially if the hotel just to relax at night after a walk through the mountains and gorges. Moreover, the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is located on the road up from Petra. But this is the price of the cheapness. Around many cheap eateries with good food. In the morning on a passing car can be reached within 1 JD to the entrance to Petra.

Breakfast (indoors Al Anbat Midtown 2) sufficient and begins at 6 am, which is very good for an early visit to Petra. Hot water - morning and evening. The service staff friendly and benevolent.

Definitely book through the Internet (Agoda, Booking). My friend the Irishman was made through E-mail and paid twice as expensive.
