Yonaguni Guest House Fiesta

Very clean, cosy if a bit small and busy. The host Shige-san is very friendly and helpful. The location is great, too. You can see the sea from the roof top.
But I heard Shige-san is leaving Yonaguni early April and there will be a new host so hurry up!

Great little spot close to the beach. Lovely common areas with nice kitchen and dining area that guests are free to use. Host is helpful and friendly, spoke some English. Nice showers that were very clean, plenty of hot water after a day of diving. Perfect to rest here after a day in the water. Close to many restaurants too.

The other reviews are from a few years back, but apparently nothing has changed since then. 

The owner is very friendly and speaks enough English to communicate how the place operates. The house is very clean and everything is well-organized from the bathrooms to the kitchen. Nominal fees for using the A/C, towels, rice, etc. discourage wasteful behavior without being burdensome. The other guests were all very friendly too. It would help to have some conversational skills in Japanese if you want to maximize your socializing.

The location in Sonai is great for the beach/harbor or as a home-base for the island.

Definitely a great value if you don't mind the guesthouse/hostel style of accommodations.

Stayed here while diving on the island. Owners speak enough English for most needs. Lovely family run little place, slept in the Japanese dorm room (Futons in a large room set aside from the main area). Clean bathrooms, showers and small but useful cooking area exclusively for guests. A great group of people there at the time, owners helped us make a japanese bbq outside one night which was fantastic.

Close to the beach, even let us borrow a car one day to see the horses. Some shops nearby (not much on the island but what is around is close by) and walking distance to the dive shop I was at (Suwes)

This hostel is really a great money for value deal. The hosts don't speak much english but get by. 

The hostel is a stone throw away from the beach and shops in town. 

The rooms and facilities are clean and WiFi strong. 

Rent a scooter to visit the island and go snorkeling!  The hostel has gear for you to rent, but you will need an international drivers license for the scooter (30 000¥ for 24 hours).

Great B&B

Very clean with nice owners who picked us up at the airport. Rooms are also in decent repair. No private bathrooms or showers so you need to share. Fellow hostel guests may keep you up late at night with raucous cheering, shouting, and laughter but all good fun if you are willing to join in.
