We stayed at the Komatsu Ryokan for 6 nights this past week and we can not explain enough how much we loved it and how sad we were to leave. The place is a real gem. The hosts are the most welcoming and kind people we have ever met. They have thought about everything that a traveler might need at their place. Green tea in the room and little snacks in the common area. We could not believe it when our host gave us a little goodbye gift on our way out. The place is pristine. I tried so hard to find anything that was dirty in the entire place and I just couldn't. One shower is more than enough (in my personal opinion), because the place only has 5 rooms for rent. So it never gets crowded. There are complimentary toothbrushes and shampoo, and soap. There are at least 4 different subway stations within 10-15 minute walk from the ryokan. There is a huge market down the road, lots of restaurants and even a laundromat. I highly recommend this place. And if I am ever back in Tokyo I will definitely be staying at the Komatsu Ryokan! :)
