Four friends booked a room! The room had bunk beds and 2 singles beds. We had a room on the 8th floor overlooking Ueno Park. The room was squashy but was what we expected for a hostel style. We actually didn’t spend much time as we were out seeing the sites. It was very quiet. There was shared bathroom and shower but we never had to wait. They provided bathroom amenities such as shampoo /conditioner and hairdryer. On the 7th floor there is a kitchen/dining/lounge area with communal fridge/freezer and cooking facilities. The staff were wonderful. They helped us with directions/recommendations. Close to rail and subway. Ueno is a great place to explore Tokyo and right out the door you have access to Yanaka, Ameyoko, Ueno Park etc. oh and the massage chair in the foyer is worth it’s weight in gold for those aches after pounding the pavement.
