I first stayed at The Knot when it was the New City Hotel. At the time I loved the location across from Shinjuku Chuo Park and the easy access to the restaurants and bars of Nishi Shinjuku and Shinjuku Railway Station. With the recent name change and rebranding, the hotel has changed from a bland business hotel to a vibrant hub catering to young travellers and families. The rooms are a bit smaller but aside from that everything has improved, including the in house restaurants (the bakery is fantastic) and bars, the communal meeting spaces and the friendly staff. In the midst of bustling Shinjuku, The Knot provides welcome respite.
