First, I highly recommend this hotel. I usually stay at its sister hotel across the street, but it’s closed for a few months for renovation. It’s my favorite in Tokyo, but this hotel is tops as well. A bit more upscale. Having the lobby on the fifth floor adds two additional elevator rides each time. The staff is magnificent to a fault. Must be the Richmond Hotel chain’s excellent policies and training. The room was typical Tokyo small, but so what? My only nit was no bedside table or nightstand. I just pulled the desk’s chair to the side of the bed. The location is one of the best in Tokyo, surpassed only by its sister across the street.
