Business Hotel Rupinas

A small hotel (with around 15 rooms) run by an old Japanese lady with 2 minutes walk from JR Takamatsu station, opposite to the express bus station (to Osaka, Hiroshima, etc),and around 8 minutes walk to the pier (ferry to Naoshima,Teshima, Shodoshima, etc, those Setouchi Islands). There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Supermarket and convenient store are just 2 minutes walk next to the JR station. Rooms are clean with everything you need (hair dryer, boiler for hot water, fridge, etc.). There is coin laundry also on the 7th floor. Breakfast are hearty with choice of Japanese or western style, and are freshly made by the owner every morning at your specified time. Love the home feeling of this little hotel and the hearty breakfast. One thing to point out is that the owner (the only staff there) does not speak English, if it is just simple check in/out and breakfast choice would be fine. And please be patient for service as she is the only one working there. She sometimes forgot to turn on the boiler for shower in the morning, like your granny :)
