Great sunset view and excellent dinner and breakfast buffets.

After staying at Japanese style inn, this was a welcome relief with comfortable mattresses. The room is modern and clean. Onsen is large and spacious. The breakfast was good, but dinner price of 8800 yen ($60) per person, we skipped the dinner buffet and went into town.

The hotel is very clean , room is big and spacious with 2 queens size beds . The staffs are all friendly and helpful. 

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the one of wonderful staff, Mr T. Yoshida , for his exceptional assistance. When we faced challenges communicating in Japanese to book our cruise, he stepped in and made all the arrangements for us. His kindness and dedication turned a potentially stressful situation into a smooth and enjoyable experience. We are deeply grateful for his  help and outstanding service

The hotel is very good and everything is perfect.

Good service and the food is great ,  the drink even include all the wine and liquids. Outstanding!

Beautiful onsen hotel! Definitely recommend! Huge buffet selection with western and Japanese food choice. Family friendly children’s play section and food. The rooms are spacious, a special mention on their Sealy mattress. Had the most amazing sleep after dinner and onsen😍

The staff were so welcoming when we checked. Everyone was very welcoming and they would try to help you with any questions you had. Lobby area was nice with many lounge areas where you can sit and relax. There was an indoor playground for kids. Hotel was situated on a hill and u could walk down to the port area in about 10-15 mins. 

Dinner was a show! Very well appointed and great tasting food. Very nicely plated and we were so stuffed! We were so happy that we were staying for 2 nights. Breakfast was also amazing. 

Onsen was very good as well. Had a nice outdoor area with views of the forest. 

A good base to explore Shiretoko. Highly recommended! 

This was the most amazing stay of our 2-week Hokkaido trip. The design of the hotel was very nice, it is hard for a large hotel to feel homely and comfortable, but it did - walking around the lobby and dining areas was such a pleasant feeling, there is also a TV section where everyone enjoyed the documentaries on Shiretoko comfortably.
The staff at the hotel were incredible, they were all very friendly and helpful, and seemed genuinely happy with their jobs - from the man at the front of the hotel welcoming us into the hotel and directing the cars to the carpark, to the front desk, and the servers and chefs at the restaurant - everyone was so friendly and nice.
The breakfast and dinner buffet was amazingly good - usually I do not enjoy buffets as much, as the food is usually just average, but here, the food variety was amazing, and quality was so good! I had the freshest sashimi, very good desserts, good grilled beef and pork, ramen was amazing, and the fried food counter was so good.

The rooms and onsen were comfortable and luxurious as well. The price we paid for the hotel was very well worth it! Thank you very much - we really enjoyed ourselves! Every day when we got back to the hotel after a long day out, it felt like returning home. 

Pros:
- spacious room with huge washroom (by Japan’s standards)
-  air purifier & humidifier provided in the room
- basic toiletries provided; can collect what you need from their stash near the front entrance of lobby
-  luxurious onsen - a must-try!
-  good restaurant with quality food to choose from - excellent tomato beef tendon stew and asparagus tempura, just to name a few
- patient and friendly staff

Con:
- only given one set of body and hand towels upon check-in - need to ask the front counter for extras after using onsen

The little port town of Utoro is a great base for two national parks and a variety of nature experiences, with a number of big hotels. Kiki is fantastic - probably the best we stayed in. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms (our Japanese room was more comfortable than most with cushions, seats, etc; Western rooms look good, too); the decor is stylish; and the onsen includes several basins and two saunas, including outdoors, so still works well when busy.  The buffet food was outstanding: lots of delicious individual dishes and cook stations,  spacious and well-organised, so it never turned into a scrum.  Very respectable Western breakfast.  Hard to find any fault (softer pillows would be nice). Even the souvenir shop is attractive.

I stayed for a night with family of 3 pax in standard tatami room with dinner and breakfast deal. The facility was good and what is exceptionally good is the food. All sorts of meal with local speciality comes in a buffet style. You would regret if you only stay for the accommodation without food. Bath, public area is also well designed and comfortable. Though the standard tatami room for 3pm may make you feel small, the public area is wide and spacious so that you do not feel the tightness during your stay. Very nice place and recommend for everyone who are waiting for unforgettable stay.

Great place to stay

This was a great experience on our Shiretoko road trip.  We were looking for a place to stay when the campsite we planned to stay at was closed early.

The western room was really nice and the onsen was amazing in the evening.  The breakfast and dinner buffets are huge and make life very easy when you're looking for a little comfort and relaxation on your trip.

Shiretoko Road Trip

Arrival was impressive! They had staff on the road, on the driveway and at the entrance giving you a grand, warm welcome. The staff are all extremely well trained and exudes genuine hospitality. Any staff you come across will greet you with a smile and a bow. Special mention must be made for the girl who comes (every half hour it seems) to clear the ashtray in the smoking room. The dining room staff are equally impressive especially during rush hour breakfast.

Should have booked a better room than the standard Japanese style. I was a bit disappointed with the room which was small and cramped with basic, dated furnishing. It is a stark contrast to the vibrant, plush, expansive feel of the common areas. The staff who comes and set up the futons in the evenings are great but there is a lot of maneuvering of table, chairs and our luggage to make space. Bedding is exceptionally soft and comfy. The garbage bin is tiny so we left our take-away containers on the table thinking housekeeping would clear it away but it was still on the table when we got back in the evening!

The indoor onsen is large, clean and well equipped however the outdoor one is tiny and inadequate.

Breakfast was superb with a large, generous spread of quality offerings. The common areas are Instagrammable and very inviting. Guests are encouraged to walk around in their yukatas and chill in the many lounges around the lobby.

Tiny Japanese style room

Having left the Daisetsuzan National Park after days of hiking,  we headed off late in the afternoon for the Shiretoko National Park. Our own fault,  we just couldn't resist one last hike. 

The  roads are easy to drive on but frustratingly slow, so leaving at 3pm meant arriving after dark ast 7:30pm. We were tired and over the day.  Having booked this accommodation months ago we had no memory of what to expect,  and thinking it would be a small local inn we were gob smacked to discover a 5 star resort.

Grimy and travel sore we felt a bit out out place wandering in clutching bag of bananas and wearing our backpacks. However were warmly welcomed and found a delightful room, buzzing buffet dinner,  large bathing area with 4 choices of Onsen temperatures, sauna and hot rock room and more.

Guest laundry, gift store,  ubiquitous vending machines and more.

It was a holiday from our holiday.

Beyond expectations 

The hotel staff were very friendly and the location was very good, too.We stayed two nights there, however, we could have only  Japanese style Tatami room (West Building),and the room was kind of old. That was the only disappointment.The hot spring bath was good and the breakfast was good, too.You have to go this hotel by taxi or by car.
