My son is part of the CA-USA Wrestling culture exchange visiting Japan right now. They just arrived late last night and stayed at Guest House Nonaka. They were greeted with friendly smiles and amazing hospitality. CACEP Team Thanks You!!!!!!!

Nonaka guest house was the perfect solution to needing a place to stay for 3 months while I was in Sapporo.  A perfect location for people who love the night life, close to entertainment district in Sapporo.   No need to grab a taxi or bus after a night out, can walk home, but also in a safe residential area.   The 7,11 close by is also super convenient and also the supermarket is also within walking distance is perfect for long stay.   Guests have their own kitchen to use so it's wonderful to save money and really experience what living in Japan is like.   Nonoka Emiko, was able to tell me how to prepare certian ingredients I wasn't familiar with, she truely is a wonderful cook, so her advice is amazing.  The owners for the guest house are so kind and speak a little English, the guest house is SPOTLESS!   I have slept in many of the rooms and the tatami rooms are warm and comfortable.  Expect rooms that are not furnished, and sleeping on futons, I prefer this as this is the way most Japanese people sleep, rather than the western beds offered at hotels.   Also need a BIKES?  They soem to use for a small charge, it in good condition.  If you want a inexpensive, convenient and wonderful owners stay at Nonaka Guest House.   They treated me like family and Made my experinece in Japan one-of-a-kind

Room is clean and very basic. This was the cheapest guesthouse I could find in Sapporo. The only drawback is the location..far from the subway station. If you come from the New Chitose Airport, you have to take the train to Sapporo station then take the subway and walk approximately 5 blocks. The street leading to the guesthouse can be very empty and a bit dark at night. Not that it's a dangerous place or anything, but as a female solo traveler, I was a bit worried about it..
