I'm here for the third time. this time traveling alone. It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy. Breakfast and dinner were cooked with love and excellent.
The view of Mount Fuji is wonderful. there is a lot to see in the area. the owner family is very nice and helpful. I'll be back with the whole family. Thank you very much for the stay

Thanks to tripadvisors rating, we found this low key gem. There are two hot tubs with spring water, two really nice hosts, and the diner/breakfast they make is equally wonderful. Try the Mount Fuji view room for a truly remarkable wake up experience!! Very nice nature trail to be world heritage ponds as well. Lovely experience 

Best arrive by car, but other options are by bus and through private pick up arrangement with ryokan owner.  This is a peaceful and scenic accommodation. The meals prepared by owner heightened our stay, and arriving earlier in the afternoon would give more time to explore the nearby temple and enjoy a relaxing bath in the ryokan's onsen.  The view from our room is beautiful in the morning!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay here. Yes, it's a bit far from town, but they picked us up and dropped us off at Fujisan station, and we spent our afternoon taking a peaceful walk through a forest to some nearby ponds with the clearest water I've ever seen in my life. It was great to have the opportunity to stay at a traditional ryokan near Mt. Fuji, especially since I'm a vegetarian! They really took the time to make sure they understood what I do and do not eat and made meals so close to my meat-eating companions' versions that they had to tell us which one was mine! The food was some of the best we had on our entire trip in Japan. The futons were so comfortable, and it was amazing to soak in the mineral waters of their onsen (which you have the opportunity to have all to yourself). The only negative thing was that Mt. Fuji wasn't visible at all, but that's just bad luck. We felt so relaxed and pampered here. The only advice I'd have to fellow travelers is to plan to come to/from Tokyo or Yokohama. We came from Sendai and went to Kyoto after our stay, and it made for a couple of LONG days of travel.

The hosts are very warm and welcoming. The wife speaks very good English and the husband is an excellent chef. We had Western breakfasts (bacon and eggs, fruit, yogurt, croissants, jam and coffee) and an amazing Japanese dinner (see picture below).

We hired a car and drove to the inn.

We had the air conditioned rooms, which were very comfortable.

The pool is outdoors and large.

Overall the place was looking a bit ragged at the edges and the paint on the outside of the building is peeling. I would definitely stay again.

We were two families with five children (ranging from 3 to 15 years) and took up two rooms for a night driving from Gifu to Hakone. The inn was a woody area, with houses and a camp-style inn next door. There was some development nearby which was quite bright at night. 
Hiromi and her husband were warm hosts and we enjoyed the meals and the family-style onsens. Unfortunately despite the mountain-facing rooms we were given, the weather was cloudy and we were unable to see Mount Fuji. The rooms were comfortable and the shared toilets were close. Showers were in the onsen rooms downstairs. 
Although the swimming pool was dry, the kids (and some adults!) had a great time on the two trampolines.
