15 reviewsThis hostel is a strange mix. On one hand you get everything you need, on the other you don't get anything beyond that. I stayed in a private room. The room was spacious, but had very little furniture in it. Based on the floor plan I had the largest room and they vary in size quite a bit. In my room I had: a bed, a table, and a chair. No wardrobe or closet of any kind, except a couple hangers. BUT I also received: some towels, a pair of slippers, some badly fitting pajamas, a toothbrush and a shaving razor. The bed felt hard and uncomfortable at first, but I had a good sleep. The main problem was the blanket, which was too short whichever way I turned it (I am 1.82m). The room is air-conditioned and when turned on it does not make much noise when turned on, but the remote is only in Japanese and I had real trouble figuring out how to operate it. Don't expect any view - all the windows I saw turn to the parking lot across the street. The street is not very busy, but the internal walls seem very thin, so the amount of noise depends mainly on your neighbors. I did not have any problems. I had to share the toilet and the "bathroom" with 2 other rooms on the same floor (which was totally fine). The "bathroom" consisted of a washing basin in the corridor between the rooms, right in front of the elevator. No privacy there, but it has cold and hot water and just enough space for the morning rituals. Both were very clean and I the lack of privacy is not that bad since with just 3 rooms on the floor I hardly saw anyone else there. To take a shower you need to go to a different floor. There is a common area with a table, a TV, and a kitchen that has all the basic utensils and some free tea. Everything is very clean (as long as you clean after yourself). There's also a laundromat. Note that there is no 24/7 reception at this hostel. The receptionist had good English and was very helpful. Bottom line - this place has everything you need as long as you are willing to give up some luxuries (and are not too tall), which might seem weird at first.
