266 reviewsWe stayed in this hotel 4 nights, and enjoyed the usual benefits of a Dormy Inn (great public baths , free evening ramen, washing machines and microwave available in public spaces , room equipped with pajamas etc). The location is near a grocery store and about a 7 minute walk from subway and local train lines, (though not as near Umeda as the title might suggest) as well as near a great shopping street for local goods and reasonably priced dining. If you have mobility issues, there is an elevator down to both the train and subway lines, but it takes some detective work to find the entrances//The staff of the hotel is very responsive and eager to please. The hotel does not have the full perks of a Dormy “Premium” but is excellent value for the money and we would be glad to stay again. If you are a first time visitor to Japan , have large amounts of luggage and are very tall or large, you might find the rooms small, but we found them exactly as advertised (and larger than others within an urban Japanese setting.).
