Pension Ntsunaka

We stayed at Ntsunaka for 4 nights and had a blast! In order to arrive we took a taxi from Miyako airport, it cost us ¥1600. We were welcomed by Shotaro, the owner and housekeeper, who's a really awesome guy. The room was Japanese style with futons, a folding table and air-conditioning. We spent every morning and evening in the shared area, cooking our own food by taking advantage of the well-equipped kitchen. The shower is well-lit and very clean, actually the entire complex is spotless and very well taken care of! There's also a beautiful, vast garden surrounding the house, perfect for relaxing during good weather. Since we didn't rent a car, Sho supplied us with single-gear bicycles which were a joy to ride around (albeit tiring to cycle during​ climbs). It took us around 15 minutes to ride to the nearest familymart to purchase cooking supplies. We also asked Sho for snorkeling equipment, and rented it for ¥1000 per set (it's ¥500 cheaper than renting at the beach). We took a 40-minute bike ride to Aragusuku Beach one day and enjoyed snorkeling very much. If we needed a taxi we just asked Sho, and he made the call for us. Staying at Ntsunaka truly made our stay at Miyakojima memorable! It was especially enjoyable for me to sit in the garden and conversate with Sho for a couple of hours. Thank you!
