There is a new wing and an old wing in this ryokan. If you look at their website closely you will notice that there is NO photos showing the new wing, yet the new wing were more expensive. 

Honestly, we booked because of the nice pictures shown on their website ~ large japanese room, white clean linen, minimal decor, etc. We admit that the price was on the cheap side compared to the other ryokan we stayed in, and we thought probably it's due to the remote area. We thought if the standard room look like this, then the more expensive "new" rooms must look better!! What a mistake!! 

Rooms in new wing are much smaller than the other rooms featured in their website, and there are no designated area for beds, only japanese tatami  bedding that is opened at night. The beddings are traditional floral printed, nothing minimally "white" as shown in pictures. Sitting area only consists of a limp small sofa. Not much amenities, even no hair conditioner. No japanese socks provided. And the hotel surroundings, not pretty. The buiding photos in their website are the back of the main building and look like this only with lights on. The interior and the other buildings do not resemble the same feelings. I think they deliberately choose not to show the photos of the new wing because they look this bad.The only good thing about the room is the cleanliness, bathroom was really spotless and new.

Dinner and breakfast was OK, we never tried lobster because it was not in season. 
Staff was helpful but only operated by 1-2 women and we had to lift our own luggages. 

Given the price I can't say it's not worth the money. The website was just misleading and it was not what I was looking for. I would not go again because of their attempt to deceive customers.
