Huge and spacious hotel
Huge rooms. Most rooms do not come with shower facilities though. Most guests would shower in the onsen. For those who dont use the onsen, there is a very decently sized common shower area on level 2 with 2 cubicles, amenities, towels and haor dryer etc. I also loved the very comfortable robes that are provided for guests and can be used within the hotel premises.

HUGE ski dry room with plenty of lockers and hangers and a heater in the centre 
Gym and well equipped gym and a table tennis table. We spent plenty of time in the library bar every evening, drinking wine, chatting and playing cards.
There is also a coin operated laundry on level 3
The hotel generally feels very quiet and uncrowded despite being peak season

The nearest ski slope is Ikenotaira which is a few min drive away. 
A car would be useful if staying at Myoko

We were initially unsure of how the stay would go as we are a family and opted for a room with no bathroom. The kids are not keen on Onsen use but we thought we would take the risk. Also not being in the mainstream locations meant less options for food. We opted for two family rooms (can accomodate up to 5 people in each) and we are a family of 6, so 3 in each. So many positives - I’m not sure where to start! The rooms were very large and spacious the beds firm and comfortable too. We had a toilet in our room and tea and coffee making facilities plus a local charger for phones etc. the room was extremely comfortable and clean! The food - amazing! Very surprised with the selection and quality of both breakfast and dinner. We had both included in our room fees and I think this is the best way to travel here if you have children. Going to find somewhere out at night is not the easiest of tasks and options are limited within walking distance. The hotel was very large and spacious, has a coffee shop in the lobby, ping pong and games in the lobby also. The gym was spacious and has a sauna stretching room. The onsen is very clean and relaxing - I was in the bath every night! Also for the kids they have seperate private showers on level 2, so they were all happy! The hotel provides shampoo, conditioner and facial creams and cleansers in the onsen and showers. They also provide Lime resort wear for use inside the hotel! One of the other conveniences is the free local shuttle - it is as good as ski in ski out for Ikenotaira - you hop in at the lobby and it drops you at the chairlift about 5 mins later! So easy! Also it can take you to the convenience store a few mins away. Lime also offers discounted ski tickets for the ski field which you need to organise before leaving. 

The only downside is the hallway is a bit noisy, so I would request a room as far away from the elevators as possible if you are sensitive to noise. Also the coffee shop in the lobby was a bit intermittent with being open which made it tricky if we were relying on it for lunch.

The two English speaking staff Ash and Ed were extremely helpful and Ash emailed us back and forth before we arrived to help us understand the hotel and organise our pick up. They made it so easy to liaise with our needs.

My friends and I came to Myoko for a special birthday celebration and we stayed a few nights at the hotel. The hotel shuttle picked up those who took the train ad made it easy to get to the hotel. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well decorated. The rooms were spacious as well. The onsen is located on the bottom floor which made it perfect for some post skiing relaxation. I would highly recommend getting the breakfast package. It was delicious and convenient. The staff was extremely helpful, kind and went above and beyond to make the stay extra special. 10/10 would recommend this hotel!

Booked a 3-night stay at this lovely, boutique hotel, but turned out we only stayed one night (though not the fault of the hotel). 

Location - Proximity to various ski resorts nearby. Hotel even offered a free pick up from Myoko-Kogen Station which was a short 5-min drive away.

Service - Prompt email replies prior to our stay and also on the day of check-in. Thumbs up!

Room - Was beautiful. I think this hotel was newly renovated so everything looks new and lovely. Very very spacious rooms. Although the rooms didn't have the shower facilities, they were conveniently located on the same floor as our room. Very clean as well.

Meals/Restaurants - Very very good service. Attentive and took time to explain to us some dishes which looked rather foreign to us :). Bearing in mind though, that we were the ONLY 3 guests at the restaurant for both the dinner and breakfast!

I wanna do a special shout-out to the hotel manager, Mr Masahiro Ouchi. As mentioned, we initially planned to stay 3 nights as we were in the area for skiing. That said, this year's weather has been erratic and as a result, when we arrived at Myoko, there was no snow! :( We were left stranded in Myoko with little to do since our plan was just to ski! We spoke to Mr Ouchi and he kindly allowed us to shorten our stay and offered a full refund (which was not their usual cancellation policy). Not forgetting that he spoke English which made our conversation a lot easier! Special credit goes to him for the flexibility and understanding towards our predicament.

All in, Lime Resort is a wonderful hotel with excellent service. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. :)

This was our first Japanese skiing holiday as an Australian family with 2 small kids aged 5 and 9. We loved this resort, the staff especially, who could not do enough for us. The area is stunningly beautiful. Transport to nearby ski areas was quickly arranged with little wait time. The views from the hotel are magnificent. The onsen was lovely also after a day on the slopes. Good WiFi and a fun kids room for little ones. Food at the restaurant was excellent and a wide range for different tastes, including for Aussie kids (note that only breakfast and dinner available). Recommend trying the shabu shabu with local pork which is cooked at your table! We will definitely return to Lime Resort and recommend to our friends. Our home away from home in Japan. Big rooms with toilet but bear in mind there are no showers in room (there are shower facilities in the onsen and showers on 2nd floor). Ask for Ouchi at Lime Resort as his English is quite good and he's a lovely guy. Also recommend the International Ski School at Akakura at Myoko Snow Sports for English speaking instructors for kids/adults.

We spent New Years and stayed 4 nights from Dec 30 to Jan 3, 2013 with a group of 4 friends (6 in total). The rooms and the food were good, quite spacious and comfortable, but what made the experience unique was the staff and their service. They are usually very nice anyway in Japan, but in this place they went out of their way, with information about various places and ski resorts around, even checking online for fireworks events for us (as we thought there is a show nearby). They were very kind to allow some of us to check out later than usual and we had a great time. Looking forward to go there again!

We stayed at Myoko no Mori for 4 nights around new year, and we really liked it. The rooms are very spacious, and everything is quite well maintained. I really liked the onsen (Japanese bath), although it doesn't have a proper 'rotenburo' (open air onsen). The staff is excellent, extremely friendly and willing to help their customers in anything they need. Examples: They let us check out at 4pm on the last day, they delivered breakfast up to their room to the ones of us who didn't make it on time to the restaurant room (we didn't even ask for it), they provided us with all sort of discount tickets, information and suggestions, they gave us some 'thank you for staying with us' gift on the last day. Cannot comment on their English speaking ability as most of us could speak fluent Japanese.
On the downside, breakfast was always the same and not amazing, and the ryokan is not walking distance from the ski slopes (but within 3km there are three ski resorts, and there is a bus taking you there, although we didn't take it as we had a car, not sure how frequent the bus is).
Overall a great experience, highly recommended!
