Stayed at Yuki dake for just over a week and couldn’t be happier. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, well located in akakura, had a very chilled vibe, good bar downstairs, great breakfast and awesome chill out room. 

Whether you’re staying in a group or on your own, would highly recommend it. 

Myoko is my favourite place to go snowboarding in the world. We did a trip earlier this year to Hakuba and Myoko, and both resorts are very different but Myoko was my preference. Whilst in Myoko we stayed at Yuki dake, the lodge is a perfect location near the lifts centre of village. Staff here were what made the place, they took us riding showed us around town recommended and booked the best restaurants and just made our trip amazing. The lodge itself is a dated but had a recent renovation on the rooms and public area's. The bathroom is communal and isn't amazing, but we were having Onsen's close by every day anyway. I would definitely recommend Yuki Dake and will return for sure.

Apart from the quality or the top bunk mattress, I couldn’t knock the Yuki Dake lodge! Great place, central to everything in town including the slopes, nice traditional style rooms, good brekkie bar! highly recommend.

If you enjoy good snow and hanging around the people that know where the best places are this is for you. Nothing fancy but that's why it is so cheap compared to everywhere else.  It's everything you need and perfect for groups. Heading back this year for sure.

Same Owner of the Famous legendary Jacks Bar out of Hakuba. This place is super central and competitively priced and the staff are 
season riders Full of knowledge and Secret spots for powder stashes. I’ll be back next year. Don’t think about it just book it be the best time of life. Yewww!!

The facilities are fairly basic,  but the staff are brilliant. Very knowledgeable about local spots and things to do Aprés ski You can never have a bad time here! If you want a great value trip to the Honshu powder Mecha then Yuki dake has you covered.

The staff and vibe of the lodge are great. Everyone went above and beyond to try make your trip as good as possible. The snow is amazing!!

However, the lodge is in dire need of repair. Some rooms had minimal access to electrical outlets that were working. The beds weren’t overly comfortable. The heater in our room failed and was replaced by a temporary one. 

I feel the staff were just trying to do there best. This place will do better of management just put a little more effort into upgrading and making sure the basics were well met like above. Whilst it is live-able, I have stayed in a lot better backpacker type accommodation. 

Staff very nice and informative, facilities average. 

We stayed at Yuki Dake in late Feb 2019 as part of the Fyve Progression Camp. The lodge was being run by Brett and Cheryne who were absolutely lovely. The staff at the lodge were really friendly and helpful. There was always someone working around the clock so when we lost our room key at 11pm, someone was able to give us access to our room. The lodge was well located, right by Ankakura snow resort and had lots of convenient stores and onsens nearby. The actual lodge itself was a 2 star at best. Our room smelled, a combination of a non functioning plumbing in our toilet and sink and old carpet but the bed was comfortable and warm. The place looks nothing like the photos, I wish I had taken some to post. The showers were adequate, onsen style but with shower curtains (those who have not been to onsen will probably hate the showers). The change room was carpeted which wasnt great because after you've showered and go back to get dressed, you drip water all over the carpet and you end up standing in wet carpet. The breakfast was convenient but not good, boiled eggs, tiny sausages and bacon every single morning. All in all, we had a good stay at Yuki Dake lodge but it didn't meet our expectations. It is, no doubt, a 2 star accomodation at the very bes but run by some very lovely people.
