Amakusa West Coast Backpackers Fu-raibou

We ended up here on a fluke- our plans for the week fell through and we were scrambling to find a place to stay in the mean time. We found this place on Air BnB, and when we finally arrived we were so amazed. This place is right on the water, the house is beautiful. It was overall amazing, and we all wished that we could have spent more time there. The owner (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) speaks English well, and as far as I understand there are a lot of things to do in the area. We saw people kayaking, and there was also snorkel equipment outside. We opted to do BBQ provided for 1500 yen for dinner, which was fun and a LOT of food for us. I will definitely go back there if I need to stay in Kyushu, and I highly recommend this place even though it's a bit hard to get to. The owners do offer to pick you up, for a small fee (500 yen I think?) If you have a car, access is much easier, though it's off the main roads and was a bit confusing at times. There aren't a lot of places to get food at, so if you go there be sure to stop and pick up your groceries at a supermarket before going to Amakusa city.
