We recently spent 3 nights in Beppu doing the Onsen rounds and we stayed at this wonderful Ryokan. We had the largest Ryokan suite on the third floor that came with its own small western style bathroom. The room was large and spacious with a balcony. The futons were most comfortable and the japanese dinners served (including one full Kaiseki dinner) were superb. The hospitality was first rate and some english is spoken. Within easy walking distance of the Jigoku's. Price point is a bit high but worth it. Highly recommended.
