Had a wondeful stay at the Myoken. Authentic Japanese experience with Tatami rooms, yukata to wear and delicious Japanese meals. Lovely views along the river and two shrines to walk to, one each side of the river. Minami-San, the owner spoke enough English to help my basic Japanese and gave me all the info I needed for my day trips. Bus stop right outside the hotel and each day I was waved off with flags! Lovely touch. Great onsen downstairs. Big pool with waterfall was very relaxing. Free foot massage machine was fantastic. Really enjoyed my stay.
