Ace Inn Matsuzaka

Located 5min L-shaped walk from JR Matsusaka station. Very convenient and accessible location with a 7-11 just behind the hotel. The room is quite standard Japanese western room. The bed is quite spacious queen bed. Breakfast is a complimentary with the room, is a simple but delicious affair.

First time visited the city, Ace Inn is only 3mins walk from the train station. Although the room is small, but it is comfortable and quiet, and it comes with breakfast and happy hours, which is a surprise to me. Highly recommended

Everything was nice. The room was decent and there was a free breakfast. They offered a birthday plan booking from local booking site Rakuten so I made use of it before going to Ise Main Shrine the next day (my birthday). The gift was not something great but still represent the gratitude from the hotel. Thank you.

I stayed a night at the hotel. The location is very close to the Matsuzaka station. Good service from staff and also welcome drinks for guests.Clean room. Nice stay.

Very close to the station. A few meters from the hotel is a Lawson store and a lot of restaurants.The room was clean and the neighborhood is quiet.If you want to discover Ise (from north to south) I can recommend this hotel.

Near the railway station, not difficult to find. Overall is good

Room is not big but large enough for a couple stay (a bit bigger than Standard Double Room of Shinosaka Conference Center Hotel that we stay recently).Wifi, breakfast we did not try, standard small bathroom. Only problem with the TV that they used mini PC box which was slow responding (might be slow CPU) and the remote was all Japanese.Front desk is very supportive. Although english is difficult but they try to help us on many questions we ask. We also get a nice local Matsuzaka beef restaurant from their recommendation which could not be searched from the internet.

Traditional business hotel with good location, few mins walk close to public transport, convenient to local shops and restaurant, nice and helpful reception staff can speak English, free daily essential and body cleansing pack for selection, some gift set for sales, hotel 2 lifts to all floor with good maintenance, small twin room but wide single bed, very clean and tidy comfortable bedding, big window with city view, central air condition with control, big flat TV, but lack of table and chair, toilet steps high and bathtub deep but with comfortable shower head,Tasty Japanese style breakfast with choices, free snack, alcohol and soft drinks at night time during happy hour, some travel booklet, eating places suggestion for hotel guest information at lobby area, overall valuable hotel good to stay.

Small like all Japanese business hotel, but good value for the budget traveller or family who just want to base themselves for a night or two at reasonable price and close to the railway station which is an important consideration when travelling with small children - that it has to be walkable.

Room did have a bit of a smoke smell at about 20.00 so I don't know if the smell was wafting through the central air-conditioning system or someone was smoking somewhere, but thank goodness it didn't persist.

Our room was clean. A little noisy from the train lines but not as bad as our Airbnb in Shin-Osaka under the flight path of taking off and landing planes and blaring sirens and traffic.

The internet is quite good but can drop out at times but when connected is quite a good speed.

Hotel offers welcome drinks at 18.00 to 20.00 which is nice but we'd already been out and eaten and had a drink as we need to dine early with children.  But it's a nice touch.

Bathroom a little smaller in the tub size, but still typically of these types of hotels, and was adequate for us and we're used to this in Japan.  I was surprised to see Shiseido bath products in the bathroom

Breakfast is included in the tariff.  It's a nice Japanese breakfast.  I liked it but it may not suit all western tastes, but when in Japan.....

If you want to visit the Ise area then the hotel is a good base as it's serviced by good train times to get you to Ise and Toba.  

This is a small hotel with everything needed. Welcome drinks is really as it provided some snacks and both alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. We did have a good happy hour in the lobby!! Car park is also close to the hotel in low cost.

A typically good value Japanese style hotel

We over nighted here when in Ise. The hotel and our room was quite typically a Japanese business hotel; comfortable but small. There is an unlimited prvision of additional amenities and you can collect them as needed.
One great plus at this hptel is their excellent free wifi which is available all over the hotel.
Additionally, it is within 3 minutes form the train station, making it an ideal spot to stay when visiting Ise.

The staffs are friendly and very helpful despite speaking little English.



Business Hotel with excellent wifi

I've stayed at the Ace Inn a few times.  Check in is fast.  English is spoken.  There is a welcome drink during happy hour.  It is very clean.  The location is perfect, as it's only 1.5 blocks from Matsusaka Station (JR Exit).  Walk down 1 block and turn left before the light and go down a block and you'll see it.  The only downsize is the rooms are very small, but this is Japan.  However, even though I'm a big guy, I can easily fit on the comfortable bed.  I get a little claustrophobic in the bathroom. But the price and location are great.  The checkout is 10am (early), but I slept in until 11am and was not charged for the extra hour which was nice.  I have never tried the breakfast.

Room is definitely small for anyone who aren't used to Japanese business hotel.  I've stayed in twin room but we had 2 beds, very small room to open one 20" suitcase, and that's it.  Other than that room is in decent condition, service is great and breakfast is par with other hotels and chains.Wifi is decent but speed decreases significantly at night when everyone is trying to connect.They have welcome drink hour that you can have one beer/sake/liquor in evening.Location is great, a few block away from station and you'll have all kind of Matsusaka Beef restaurants in vicinity.
