3 course meal dinner and breakfast buffet was excellent.  Staff was very friendly.  Bed's were comfortable.  Surroundings of the property is really nice. They even offer pick up services from nearest station.

This was the best place we stayed in Japan! The property is beautiful and the staff very friendly, but the best part is the meals. The chef is amazing! Dinner was the best meal I have ever had, and breakfast was amazing, too. Everything we had was so delicious. The shuttle makes it easy to visit Shirakawa-go. I highly recommend staying here!

I stayed at the hotel after a trip to shirakawago village. There is a shuttle service from the bus station to the hotel. Dinner was amazing. I didn’t expect to be served 5 courses french cuisine in a small town like this. A few bugs problem, but it was understandable since the location of the hotel near the forest. Overall it was an excellent stay.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in Japan. The staff was courteous and attentive, and a special shoutout to the shuttle driver for picking us up from the side of the road after flagging him down. 10/10 I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a pleasant stay at Shirakawa-go and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty!

I have travelled from Hokkaido to Okinawa, Tokyo to Hiroshima and stayed various types of hotels. This one is the best by far for the meal and environment. I am really surprised by the meal they serve, just like a Michelin starred restaurant. Thanks again to the cook and service stuff. They were really perfect. About environment, you stay in the middle of the woods. Green all around, fresh air and songs of birds. Its a bit far to Shirakawa-go (10-15 min by car) but the Hotel has free shuttle service to the main bus stop in the village. So... I would definately stay if I find a chance to come once again.

Can’t speak highly enough of our stay. They picked us up from the bus stop, fed us an elegant dinner and breakfast, and took us back in town. Best place we stayed in our trip to Japan.

If you like nature, this place is for you! It’s about 5km from Shirakawa-Go, but they provide shuttle service to pick you up and drop you off at the bus terminal. Breakfast and dinner is also included. They also offer some activities such as a nature hike. I was very fortunate to go on a hike led by Lena. She was great at explaining different trees and Sansai in the forest (both in Japanese and for my benefit only, in English). They also have an on-site onsen that’s very nice. I would highly recommend this place!

Excellent stay near shirakawago

Amazing!

Great place to stay for visiting Shirakawa-Go!

Booked this accomodation while visiting Shirakawago. They provide pickup service from bus terminal in Shirakawago to their place and also back to Shirakawago bus terminal. 
Located on the higher place than Shirakawago, while we stay surrounded with snow so it gives us astonishing view. 

We booked room for three people with private bathroom, and we enjoy very much our stay. They provide dinner, a fine dining dinner with a good taste dishes and dessert. Also they have a nice and friendly staff. Overall the experience is much better than we expected, I wish I can experience another stay. 

Another Excellent Place for enjoying Shirakawago

Never thought there is such a beautiful place in Shirakawa. We came during the winter and I think this is the perfect time to come here. After spend a night at Historic Village Shirakawago, we were picked up by the staff from bus station. We have booked a package for 2/1N stay including a French dinner, a English breakfast, snow slide and snow morning walk. These all cost only RM530 per head. Really cheap and value for what we pay. 
Friendly staffs, delicious food, hot spring, nice room decoration,wake up at the morning and enjoy snow falling. I love all the things here.

A hidden gem

We stayed there three day. This hotel is located near world heritage site five minutes ran by car. French cuisine is super delicious and French loaf is also cryspy and we got hooked. Shirakawa village is famous for its architect style Gasshou-dukuri. It looks old typical traditional Japanese style. So I recommend to go there for foreign people. This hotel is built by log style and our family can learn a lot of things about ecology and nature . Shizengakko means school of nature. I was very impressed.

The staff was helpful and worked hard to communicate with us, especially considering our very limited Japanese. The shuttle they provided was convenient. The activities were fun!The only complaint was the common shower. We knew that going in, but would have preferred showers in the room.
