Maison de Sasagawa - Hostel

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 children aged 7 and 5) stayed with Yoko over Christmas 2015 and had a fantastic time! Yoko is the most wonderful host. We didn't want to stay in a small hotel room and our friends had mentioned Yoko's house. After eating out many nights in Tokyo, it was great to be able to cook in the kitchen and sit in the large dining room to eat and socialise with other guests. Yoko even took us to the local supermarket and helped us work out what item was what! Her local knowledge was so helpful when it came to eating out, lift tickets, ski hire etc. She went out of her way to keep us entertained whilst we were there. And even researched and booked our Christmas dinner at a French restaurant, which was fantastic. It's in a great location, walking distance to Happo One lifts and eating places. They also have free Wifi. It's certainly good value for money. We stayed for 8 nights and had two traditional Japanese rooms, which were large in size. The bathrooms are shared, which I was a little worried about when I booked, but it was fine. And they have a washing machine for guests to use. See you again Yoko, we'll be back!
