The hotel is in a really convenient area and I was able to walk to most places I wanted to visit. The cabin is spacious with a very high ceiling which really helps with ventilation when you are sleeping. The facilities are very clean and they have nice systems in place to keep things organized. They also have an amazing large bath to soak in...a huge bonus after you have been walking around all day!!!

However, there is no place to keep your luggage. Most capsule hotels I have stayed at have a locker, cubby, storage area across from your bed or a place to store your luggae underneath your bed. This hotel has none of this. Most people put their luggage in front of their pod and maneuver around it. There is a locked storage area inside your pod and it can fit some of your more valuable items but it is not large enough for bags.  The last issue is that there is only one combo washer/dryer. It takes 2 hours for one regular load. I was here three nights and I was never able to do my laundry. There is always a line. Unless you are going to stay and do laundry during the middle of the day, you should not count on this for a laundry stop . I tried once at 4am...someone was still using it.

So all in all I would stay here again I would just prepare a little bit differently.

Great location....not enough amenities for everyone

I love Fukuoka !!!! It's one of my favorite places to travel to and when I do I always stay at First Cabin Hakata. This hotel is the most convenient ever. For solo travelers this is the best option, but if you don't like to be surrounded by strangers then I think it's better you stay at a hotel. First hakata, is top floor of a building, below they have many levels and shopping, restaurants and gym. This hotel is attached to the subway and is 10 mins away from the airport. Surrounding this hotel behind, 5 mins walk you can find canal city. In front of this hotel/building nearby there's a river that flows throughout the city. Next to the hotel you can get a massage at night and directly go to sleep. I suggest you make a reservation first. This place is amazing. The bed is a little hard but overall the privacy in each room is comfortable. We respect each other privacy and no speaking out loud, it's very quiet.

Good place to stay as solo traveler, it has  sento and shower, also everything is clean, the staff is good and kind

It was my first night at a cabin hotel and First Cabin made me stay again at one of their hotels the next night. The cabin is reasonably large. I could stand up in it. It was always very quiet as talking/chatting is not allowed in the sleeping area. The bathroom was excellent with everything you need. It's a perfect place for a solo traveller! 

Very nice cabin hotel 

First Cabin is a revelation for those used to the hassle of budget hotels and guesthouses.  The so-called 'capsule hotel' is a no-frills, roof over your head sleeping option traditionally reserved for salary men after a all-night drinking session and for solo travelers in transit.  First Cabin takes the concept to a higher level with on-site amenities such as: spa/bath house, good wi-fi, personal TV, pajamas, snack bar, etc.  Located on the main metro line in Fukuoka, you can't go wrong if convenience, cleanliness, and good value are a priority.

Good value accommodation for a solo traveler

The way to hotel is very convenience from airport; take subway from station K13 to station K9 then take the exit4, see the building at Floor B1 (supermaket and drug store) F.8 is hotel location! Hilight is 24 hour opening of  Don Quijote at F2F1 Tully coffee In hotel, I reserved first class room. It’s clean, more space to keep luggage, nice common room (hot bath inside), the best is definitely seperate W and M so it’s safe for me.

Very closed to subway, food, shop

I stayed here for one night before I could move in to my apartment. It is located inside a shopping mall a few floors up. The location is very good. The hotel was very fresh and clean, and service was good. I had two big bags, and the hotel could keep them behind the front desk for me. If you ask for it, there are also lockers where you can store your valuables. The "cabin" itself is also nice, bigger than I expected. Though a bit hard to sleep on for me personally. Since it is like a capsule hotel, your enjoyment will probably depend on how quiet your neighbors are. The bath area, showers, and toilets are very fresh and clean. Overall it was perfect for a one night stay!

Nice for a short stay

This is not the classic capsule hotel, the beds are bigger and the services better. Friendly and helpful staff. It is possible to bring the suitcase in the dormitory, there is a special room for storage under management. Th hotel is connected directly with subway station
