Hotel Bell Kaneyama

We stayed here for two nights as part of a walking tour of Japan's backroads. We saw Mt Fuji when we arrived last afternoon, and saw it briefly at 6am from the hotel's top floor fire escape! The hotel room was basic, clean but very small. It also smelled of smoke and we needed air deodorant and opened the window to freshen it up. The restaurant food was good and filling. There was a mountain river at the back of the hotel which was nicely lit up at night, and they had just finished building a very nice on-sen with segregated communal (naked) hot bathing which was very welcome at the end of a long day walking around one of the lakes in the area.
