Beautiful house, beautiful furnishings and antiques, wonderful attention to detail, meals felt very special sitting down with the candlelight gleaming on the silver. Good cook and great butlers. Stunning views from every window, felt privileged to be staying there.

Our trip to Bluefields Bay Villas was spectacular. The accommodations, food and service were superior. Our family of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) had our every need met at Mullion Cove. Kate gave us excellent advice and helped with planning details. She even did a photo shoot. We mostly hung out at our pool and beach enjoying tropical drink concoctions while the children made good use of equipment. Also, we enjoyed snorkeling, river boat ride, YS Falls, horseback riding, private tennis lesson and in house spa services. The best part for us was the wonderfully warm and helpful nannies, butlers and staff who took great care of us during our stay.

Spectacular Jamaican 50th Anniversary Trip

Our Bluefields house was incredible. From the delicious and gorgeous meals to the well-equipped beach with warm water to the fun and hard working staff, the entire stay was memorable and like no other.

Fabulous stay

A magical experience and quite the best family holiday we have had. 
Facilitated by an incredible location, fantastic architecture, amazing food, and wrapped around with wonderful care and service of the highest quality - and yet with a family feel. This was an all round success. The beach and facilities were great, and the three incredible meals together each day prompted deep and easy conversation across the family, across generations and more. From the baby in the party to the Grandparents, all 9 of us had a special time - and a memorable one. Thanks Bluefields we will see you again.

A Magicl Family Break

There isn’t really a way to adequately describe how wonderful an experience we had at Bluefield’s Bay.  Whether it was the accommodations, the food, the service, everything  was of the finest quality.  The residence and staff made us feel as comfortable and welcome as we have ever been on any vacation.  Peaceful and easy without compromising any quality.  Simply the finest experience we have ever had traveling.

Perfect blend of luxury and comfort.  An impeccable experience in all ways.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property with our family of 5 consisting of 3  young adult children.   We first stayed during Covid 2021.  On both occasions, we stayed at San Michele.  This is a villa off away from the other villas and offers the upmost privacy.     Bluefield's is absolutely a 5 star with food, service and overall experience.   The staff can be as much of your daily life as you would like them to be or will be away  if that is what you prefer.  On our second stay in January 2023, most of the same members of the staff were there again and we really enjoyed their company and learning a bit about their lives and Jamaica.  They are all wonderful at reading your cues as to how you want them to interact with you.   (or not if you prefer).   We felt part of the Bluefield's family as we had many laughs with everyone that worked there.  
The service here is unreal;  drinks are literally served on a silver platter by the butlers who are AMAZING!!   Anytime you want a drink or whatever you want to drink is available.  The frozen drinks are out of this world and offered any time from morning until evening!  turn down service every night with fresh flowers on your bed as well as different china and silver at the dinner table every night! 
Our chef, Shelly, was really one of the best chefs ever-  the meals she prepared blew us away from her soups, amazing entrees and deserts.  You will always have two choices for lunch and dinner and can specify if you want fish, chicken or beef more often in advance of your trip.  Although most of our party didn't enjoy fish,  I would highly recommend the fresh fish choices.  On one day, jerk chicken is served made by one of the locals.  Also a huge hit with all of us.  You will definitely not go hungry ever at Bluefield's.  All three meals were big meals and then there is happy hour with snacks in the late afternoon. 
If you like to hike, we highly recommend asking for Dave  (a gardener) to take you on a hike in the mountains.   I would rate this as a lower medium level hike and extremely enjoyable.  You do walk through part of a village  with him and he will know everyone; we felt very safe and took our walks on many days.  We also spent a lot of time kayaking which was also wonderful and peaceful.
There is no beach at all at San Michele which is clear from the photos but our mountain hikes made up for it.  The "island" you walk out to on the water is very spacious; all 5 of us had plenty of room in the shade.  There is a beach you can get a ride to or kayak to where the other villas are located.  The beach is pretty small; don't expect any long beach walks if that is your thing.   
On our first trip we all went snorkeling (very fun!)  and a sunset cruise.   We really enjoyed both;  this time around we did not do any excursions and wanted to just relax and enjoy the house and all it offered. 
Housekeeping will do your laundry while you are there;  fantastic to come home with mostly clean clothes!
Although Bluefield's can be considered expensive, there is no way we could get the same value for a family of 5 with the quality of food, service and  unlimited  alcohol anywhere else.     YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED AND WILL WANT TO COME BACK EVERY YEAR!

THE BEST PAMPERED TROPICAL VACATION EVER

My wife and I stayed in the Milestone Cottage for 4 nights in February for our honeymoon. We wish we could have stayed longer! Bluefields is located in an absolutely beautiful part of Jamaica that's quiet and perfect for those looking for a private vacation. The Milestone Cottage was lovely. It has a romantic outdoor tub, a private seaside pavilion for lounging and sipping drinks, a plunge pool, and a dining table with an incredible view of the ocean. We were served the most incredible breakfasts, lunches, and dinners by our chef. Every morning started off with the most delicious coffee. Having the night butler stay in the cottage overnight was actually really nice and made us feel safe. All of the staff we encountered were so kind and welcoming. We can't wait to come back!

Wonderful revisit with all the family after nearly  50 yrs. still a beautiful part of Jamaica, the staff were outstanding as is the house ‘ mullion Cove ‘  we had three glorious weeks their, thanks to my daughter and son-in-law  ❤️


Island in the sun.

There are no words to describe exactly how incredible our experience at Bluefields Bay was. Our family of four just returned from a trip, where we had the pleasure of staying at both Mullion Cove and Cottonwood Cottage villas. The amenities, resort grounds and food were far beyond anything we’ve ever experienced before, but the people we met along the way truly made the trip what it was. Special shout out to Kate, Dennis, Tevin, Jerome, Mikada, Vaniesha, Mikalia, Arianna, Nadia and Kimona who treated us like family throughout our stay and helped us create memories we will never forget. Since the moment we got home, we’ve been planning our return to Bluefields…10/10 recommend! If you have the opportunity to go visit Bluefields Bay, please don’t hesitate. It will be an unforgettable experience!

Perfection in every way!

I stayed at Bluefields (Providence House) for six nights in early November with my wife and two young children (4 and 1).  After reading the glowing reviews and learning that a nanny, chef, and other staff were part of the all-inclusive package, we moved our trip from a mega resort in Turks and Caicos to Bluefields.  This amazing place absolutely lived up to (and exceeded) our expectations.  The nanny (Sasha) was experienced, professional, and an overall pleasure to be around.  She has three kids of her own and we trusted her immediately.  The Chef (Vian) was incredible.  Her talent was on display with every meal we ate, and she handled a dietary restriction with ease.  The butler (Sabrina) and the housekeepers (Tamara and Tishera) made us feel right at home.  Our night watchmen (Levi and Fabian) always made us feel safe and greeted us with fresh coffee in the morning.  The gardeners were also always on site, keeping the villa looking beautiful.  This group of villas is owned operated by one family and they have managed to create a gem on the southern coast of Jamaica.  Their attention to detail is impeccable and they are very hands-on, often greeting guests and ensuring the stay is going well.  It was obvious that every employee was happy to work at Bluefields and genuinely cared about our experience.  We left feeling relaxed and excited to return.  We had such a great time and can’t wait for our next trip.
