I’v stayed at Sake 4 times - and I’m never left disappointed - I cannot wait to return. 

Nope, it’s definitely not suited for those looking for western-style luxury; no ac (but always a fan), no hot water (but goodness, it’s Jamaica - a cool shower after a long day is welcome), and yeah - you might see a salamander or beetle in your room, but no infestations. They offer rustic relaxation that is comfortable and safe. 

Sake has a special kind of rustic beauty that leaves me wanting more - sunrises and sunsets to die for: kitchens equipped for cooking meals; amazing swimming and snorkeling; beautiful gardens and trees; and as much privacy as you wish for. The people who work there are kind, and fun to be around. Sake is a 15 minute drive to Ochorios and 8 minute drive to Orcabessa, where you will find anything you could need (Gas, groceries, restaurants, bank machines, etc.). 

The price cannot be beat - 20-50 bucks per night. 

The wildlife is great - I’ve come across mantarays, starfish, tropical fish, among other sea creatures in my time snorkelling there. 

I love this place, and cannot wait to return.

Best Kept Secret in Jamaica

First the good:  Phenomenal views of the ocean and coast.  Right on the water.  Very quiet and peaceful, if that's what you're looking for.  However, we had low to no water pressure, and so toilets couldn't flush and no one could take showers.  I spent one night there in this condition and told the manager that I couldn't stay there without any water. 
I was assured by the manager that the water would be supplied by 12 noon, but it was not.  My money was already paid for three nights and I could not get a refund.  I left at 1:30pm after not being able to locate the manager.  Too bad.  I really thought it was going to be a great stay.  I ended up losing $120 total between the booking agent and the property. Life is a lesson.  And, there's Karma.  I cannot recommend Villa Sake.

Very disappointing

so stated at Villa Sake in St Mary and it was a wonderful stay. This villa is cozy,light, cheap and it had an amazing view of the ocean from your bedrooms and living area. This place is for person who loves nature.

Road trip

It was a pleasant surprise to find this Ghosthouse near waterfalls, beaches and dolphin cages! A very atmospheric and decent place for budget travelers. Your exit to the sea from the rocks. You can drill straight from the lounge zone. Beautiful sea, fish, view. The best thing you've found for the whole trip! And only $20 during a period of luck. Usually the price is higher. But 40 for such a place is not pathetic.

The most budgetary and atmospheric place in Jamaica

The villa was absolutely filthy. It smelt musty. There were rat droppings in the accommodation. We found a dead cockroach in the mosquito net. Two windows were missing. The pictures inside do not show the current state. We ended up finding alternative accommodation.

Absolutely awful accommodation

Certainly is not the maximum of the hygiene if you try the luxury, but for those who love the nature is the perfect place! The bathroom is relatively clean, while the kitchen it is less. Even if you do not near the town, as soon as you exit is located steps easily!
