Transfer should be paid separately. The cost can range from USD 200.00 to 600.00. Front desk is open 24/7. Maalan Restaurant at Meeru Island Resort & Spa is currently closed for renovation and is scheduled to reopen on 1st November 2026.
Maalan Restaurant is an adults-only dining venue exclusively for guests aged 18 years and above, as well as guests staying at the northern end of the island. Guests accommodated in Waterfront Villas and Ocean Villas will have dining options at Maalan Restaurant.
The hotel counts guests as children only from 0 to 11 y.o. Older children from 12 y.o. will be counted as adults.
Children are only allowed in Garden and Beach Villa rooms without a jacuzzi.
The hotel only accommodates guests of age 18 and above in Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Water Villas.
The resort and spa can only be reached in the following ways:
Shared round-trip speedboat transfer: Adult 12 years and older: USD 210.00 per person from 1.11.2025 to 31.10.2026. Child 2-12 years old: USD 105.00 per child from 1.11.2025 to 31.10.2026.
One-way private speedboat transfer: adult 12 years and older: USD 600.00 from 1.05.2025 to 31.10.2026.
Standard transfer time: The last boat from Male departs at 21:00. Guests are required to inform the property of their flight details at least 2 days prior to arrival in order to book transfer seats.
Children under 2 years of age can eat free of charge in accordance with the rules and meal plan when accompanied by an adult, with the exception of alcoholic beverages.
Standard transfer hours: The last speedboat departs from Male at 09:00 PM. Guests are required to inform the resort of their arrival and departure flight information at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
Guests will be charged the following fees:
Christmas Eve Gala Dinner December 24th per adult: USD 135.00;
Christmas Eve Gala Dinner December 24th per child from 2 to 12 years old: USD 0.00;
New Year's Eve Gala Dinner December 31st per adult: USD 185.00;
New Year's Eve Gala Dinner December 31st per child from 2 to 12 years old: USD 93.00.
Additional fee for children from 15 to 17 years old: USD 170.00 per person per stay. Kids also pay for the green tax except infants from 0 to 1.99 years old.
Please be advised that Meeru schedules speedboat transfers to/from Velana International Airport to coincide with the arrival/departure flights of Meeru’s guests.
Kindly note that all transfers are combined transfers originating from or to Velana International Airport. Combined transfers accommodate a group of passengers.
Therefore, combined transfers include waiting time for other passengers who might be arriving on different flights, varying between few minutes and rarely even hours. |
