Albergo diffuso Magredi di Vivaro

I was looking for a self contained apartment close to Maniago which could cater for a disabled parson. I visited with my friend who is in a wheelchair, and he was competing in a cycle race in Maniago. I found the Albergo Diffuso Magredi di Vivaro option through Expedia and it seemed perfect for our needs, and reasonably priced, so I booked, There are actually 21 apartments in Vivaro under this listing, available in 7 separate buildings. We stayed in Casa Massimu, the only one with disabled facilities, which is a beautiful old building on the main street near the village square, restored to a modern standard. Parking is provided off street behind a secure automatic gate. The property manager Michaela, was great at communicating before our arrival, and was able to confirm that we could have a disabled room. We met Michaela on arrival at the office, and she took us to the apartment, and showed us how everything worked. Later she helped us when we couldn't get the wifi or the induction hob to work (the instructions were naturally in Italian, which I cant speak) - and we got both working fine. The village of Vivaro has a small supermarket, a chemist, a couple of restaurants (including an amazing pizzaria), and is close to Maniago and the mountains. My only very minor gripe was that the kitchen had no toaster or kettle, but it did have a "mocha" for brewing beautiful expresso coffee, which we loved! I cant recommend the property enough and Michela is a great host!
