Hotel Residence Vigone

We stayed at Vigone Hotel on a road trip from Milan to Nice. We were on a predetermined budget and so we needed to stay at a low cost hotel. This type of thing is always a crap shoot. However, it was to my pleasure that this hotel was perfect in every way. The room was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Wifi worked and was fast. On the small deck I felt like I was part of the neighborhood. We had just flown the night before and were beat from the jet lag so we didn't want to eat in a restaurant. So we went down the road to the local grocery store and purchased local wine for 4€ and cheeses, local Parma, olives and bread for under 20€ total. The hotel was kind enough to lend us utensils for our picnic dinner. They also accommodated a change to their regular breakfast schedule because we were headed out early in the morning. This hotel is perfect for folks who want to get a little off the normal tourist route and truly know the wonderful and friendly country that is Italy.
