Bb Casa Giulia

One of the best places I have stayed in Vieste. Right inside the heart of the old town! Restaurants and shops are 1 minute walk and the best part is that the beach is within 5 min walking distance ! The room is clean and tidy ( we had the sea view!) and the breakfast was served on the terrace which was also sea view ! Andrea e Valeria were really helpful and the restaurant recommendations were absolutely on spot !

We visited Vieste this October and stayed at Casa Giulia. We absolutely enjoyed our time there even though it was not swimming season. It is situated in the lovely historic center and close to everything. The B&B is a charming and inviting structure that highlights the typical South Italian characteristics. We were spoilt for choice for breakfast, as they offer various delicious food, both savory and sweet.  The staff is really gentle, reliable and makes you feel right at home. They were more than happy to help us and provide us with information. I recommend everyone to stay at Casa Giulia when visiting the beautiful town of Vieste.  

Well located in the center. Quiet. Good AC. Good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful staff. Good WiFi. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace is wonderful. Be sure to confirm a check in time - staff is very accommodating.

A large furnished terrace with beautiful ocean view is open to the guests at any time. The blue room was comfortable and breakfast excellent. Not cheap for a b&b (90€/night in July) but fair enough. Parking is not provided in the premises but a convenient solution is few minutes away for 7€/24h.

We stayed there for only one night and the room was nice and in a good location. Everything was clean and we could check in a bit earlier than expected. There were only a few things which were not that good, but they didnt disturb us that much. The wifi only worked on the terrace, one lamp in the shower was missing and it was a bit hard to get in in the shower, because there was only one door that we could open. There was also a very little mold on the ceiling of our room. Beside that everything was good and i would recommend it to somebody else.

Great stay...

Good location, delicious breakfast

In late September and early October 2014 my wife (58) and I (64) took an 8-day vacation in Puglia, moving from one place to the next in our rented car. We traveled with a 20kg suitcase and two rolling carry-ons. We made hotel, B&B and restaurant reservations well ahead of time, based mainly on reviews in TripAdvisor (but also in other sites). We were looking for proper accommodation, not necessarily budget accommodation. We thought that Casa Giulia would be such a place. How did we find it in reality, in our overnight stay? 

Location: excellent, at the edge of the old town, close to the sea.

Car park: An issue. We circled around for quite some time before landing on a questionable spot where we parked anyway, several hundred meters from the hotel. 

Access: terrible, I dare say even dangerous. Imagine a 64 yo man with a 20kg suitcase barely fitting into the entrance door only to find himself climbing extremely steep stairs in a narrow staircase with 2 passages only 1.5 meters high.

Room overall: spacious, with a balcony and a gallery, bright and airy – quite attractive. 

Cleanliness: very good.

Room furniture: nice desk & chair, and comfortable sitting corner in a gallery. Overall – very nice.

Mattress, blankets, pillows, sheets: good.

Heating / cooling: we never got to testing these.

View: the see can be viewed, barely, from the corner of the balcony.

Noise level: none. 

Shower size, water flow & temperature, towels: small shower, no shelf, liquid soap in a large glass bottle on the floor. Soaping oneself could be quite dangerous, if you slip and the glass bottle breaks.

Amenities: ok.

Check-in times: we were warned twice to arrive only in the stated hours, which we did (but the tone was unpleasant).

Wifi: non-existent, despite a clear promise at reservation time. 
Explanation: we stayed off the main structure, across the street. They had 4 weeks from reservation to arrival to tell us that we'd be 2nd rate guests, but they never did. The only comment we heard: it's not so bad to be without wifi for one night.

TV: zillion stations, we didn't find any in English.

Breakfast: proper, quite generous, on a beautiful veranda with a beautiful view.

Kindness of the host: we found the hostess indifferent and rather cold, bordering on rude.

Overall: terrible access, impossible shower, no wifi, unpleasant hostess – enough said.
