We have recently returned from staying at the Ondina and wish to say how lovely everything was. Yes the room and bathroom were basic, but always clean. The owner is very welcoming and so helpful. His recommendations kept us away from the other tourists and towards the local restaurants and facilities, all of which were excellent. Although this was not our first time in Italy, it was our first time in Viareggio, it was very, very hot…the beach was lovely and private, so you will have to pay. We will revisit in the cooler months that’s for sure. Excellent value and once again a terrific and helpful host.
