Traveling to Europe with a party of 9 can be challenging, especially when it comes to accomodations. When we found a place that had enough beds for all 9 of us in Venice we booked. We were expecting a medium sized apartment like we had in Rome and Florence, that while a bit tight they worked wonderfully. When we opened the door to Riva Palace we were shocked! The size of the apartment was HUGE!!! Extremely tall ceilings, huge bedrooms, American sized beds (beds in Europe I have found to be smaller than what we have in hotels here). The ceilings had amazing drawings. The windows in the farthest room had balconys with a canal underneath so great pictures. The 2 bathrooms were big. The apartment was clean, had towels out for everyone plus extra if needed. Extra bedding for the pull out couch which we used (was surprisingly really comfortable). The kitchen was well enough stocked with the basics (we didn't really use it). The location was perfect as it was near the #1 boat and super easy to get around as well as close to one of the main bridges. It was near to the hustle and bustle, but also in a very quiet area that gave the feeling of being in a "neighborhood".We would highly recommend this location to anyone, especially if you are a big group. We would definitely stay here again!
