Hotel Vecchio Tre Stelle

We stayed just one night in Barbaresco (as part of our "eat and drink" Italy tour) and this was one of our most enjoyable evenings. The hotel was clean and tidy, albeit a little dated, with a welcoming host. We decided to eat in and for dinner choose the set (local Italian) menu and a bottle of (recommended) local red wine - what a perfect decision, The dining area was really nice, the open fire creating a homely feel and the service and food were simply far above the level we were anticipating - really excellent, superb (I don't have enough adjectives!) food and attention to detail. When we return to this area we will stay here again.
