BB Five Rooms

Research disclosed a cash only arrangement which put the Missus' plans for a shopping spree on hold.....for now. 4 nights Rm7 top of the house, small balcony no view sheltered. A doorway in Piazza Archimede leads to flights of marble steps and a warm welcome. Bang in the middle of beautiful vias, within spitting distance of the Duomo, resteraunts (more of that later) shops (wine.....but someone said they sold other things as well probably corkscrews), Archimedes and Leonardo Museum with working wooden models my wife thought would look good in our garden, a puppet theatre (which would'nt) B&B has a twin ship resteraunt "Basirico" where I was mistaken for a film star. I did not confirm or deny this, gladly accepted the discount for staying at the B&B and assorted presents which I will have to consume before the flight home. Wife has had the same meal there 3 nights on the trott. Hope my mistaken identity holds just for one more day. Basirico's Brilliant Chef surprised us atbreakfast in the B&B today (I would say morning but that last night's enjoyable sampling was slowing one down) thankfully he did not tell everyone enjoying their continental fare who (he thought) I was. We are leaving tomorrow and know the friendly staff here will recycle the empty bottles lined up against the balcony wall. Thank goodness the wind has died down because there is a drop to the courtyard below and it would not take Silvio Montalbano to work out where the glass came from. Good place. Helpful staff. What more could you ask for ? (a mini bar).
