No, this place is not real! It's a floral-themed doll house with breathtaking views run by a sweet family with a superwoman named Chiara at its head! Location: - a bit off the real world so you must have a car though the small roads around the property can be a pleasant walk as you take in the hills, the farms, and the farm animals once a while - the house sits in a small family farm / vineyard and looks on to the lush Prosecco Hills - about 20 min drive from the Conegliano station and an hour from the Venice airport by road Room: - Category - Lilac Room / Glicine Room (on the second floor) - delightfully decorated, efficiently maintained, and perfectly stocked with essentials, the room will remind you of a Disney Princess's chamber with its romantic, floral aesthetic in everything from wall decor to bed linen, and lamp shades to bathroom accessories. - there are 2 tiny windows in the room that might feel a bit small but the view they offer makes up for their size - the pleasantly curated garden to the rolling hills all the way in the distance - comfortable bed with a huge wooden 3D structure for a headboard that adds a quirky touch to the Disney princess decor - Since it's actually a family house with just 2 floors, there are no lifts and the staircase can be tricky if you're carrying large luggage like I was. (Chiara very kindly did the heavy lifting while going up and I can't thank her enough for it!) - The staircase and the wooden flooring feel quite loud when you walk up and down although I didn't have any disturbance inside the room probably because my room was on the higher floor. Honestly, to me it was a part of the charm of living in a real family house on a vineyard. Food: - breakfast is an elaborate spread of homemade sugary delicacies - as Italian as it gets! Fresh fruit mostly from the kitchen garden, breads / crackers from local bakers, Cakes, Pies, Jam Pastries, et al baked fresh everyday in the family kitchen! You can ask for eggs, too. - served within the house in the small parlour on the ground floor (it was raining at the time, I was told they also serve breakfast outside in the courtyard in better weather) - there are only 2 restaurants at a walking distance from the villa (closed on Tuesdays) while you can drive to farther places. No other meals are served in the house. (special thanks to Chiara for sharing a couple of family dinners with me since I couldn't go into town for those meals.) House: Everything you see in the photos on the website - exactly as you see it. Just as beautiful. the house has an old-world charm with its vine-covered exterior, colonial furniture, the traditional chinaware, the consistently floral-themed linen, the wrought iron patio seating - and don't forget a cute little puppy name Luna. She can be trouble at times but Chiara is mindful of it if you're not a dog person. The house is surrounded by the family vineyard, a flower garden, a courtyard, a small-ish swimming pool, a sizeable kitchen garden, ample parking, and a lovely holiday vibe! I can't wait to go back and this time on a romantic trip.
