Sorrento Studios Lemons Hill

Please read my review before listening to the negative ones. This is a very remote accommodation, located at the top of a very narrow and steep hill. The owners, Joseph and Ezra, are two of the kindest and most accommodating people we have met at any stay. From the minute we were picked up at Naples airport by Joseph, they could not do enough for us. They offered a shuttle service up and down the hill from Sorrento to the accommodation at any time, just a quick message or call and they were there within 10 minutes. Starting with the location, it is absolutely beautiful. A rustic, classic Italian house offering stunning sea views, with a fantastic view of Vesuvius from the pool area. The grounds are drenched with Lemon and Orange trees as far as you can see, our son loved playing on the swing and slide in the garden. Currently, they are having a new driveway constructed to the property. Joseph and Ezra would drive us right up to the house and help us with our bags / luggage to our door. We stayed in the 1st floor room. It is rustic but has a homely feel. Equipped with a small kitchen, bathroom, double bed and a sofa bed. There is also a small terrace at the rear looking out into the garden, again, lemons and orange as far as you can see. It was deadly quiet, as there are not many properties located in the hills we loved the calmness. We slept very well, as did our two sons and found the bed to be very comfortable. As above this property offers stunning views and an exclusiveness you would not get from staying centrally. Obviously, the compromise here is the rural location but as mentioned, Joseph and Ezra were more than happy to pick us up and drop us off as we'd like from the centre, so we never felt this was a burden at all. Yes, you could stay centrally and have the option to walk into town, but this accommodation, in our opinion, offers an experience like no other in Sorrento. For the sake of a short car journey a couple of times a day, staying in the hills with beautiful views, warm and welcoming hosts, away from the liveliness of town is a compromise we would be more than happy to make again.
