1022 reviewswe loved this place so much when we visited(my wife and I) in summer of 2018 we visited again a few months later, for a few days with my son and father (on a lad's mini adventure) - and we pretty much loved everything about it. I am fairly well travelled and would not normally consider re-visiting the same place more than once, but this was so charming, we are even heading back next year with more of the family. First things to note - this is NOT a hotel! It is camping with style so manage your expectations. The cabins are like caravans, cute and cosy, but practical. There is no living room as the terrace outside performs the function adequately. There is no TV, why would you need one with these views , some good company and a bottle of lemoncello. Beeaches are few and far between in this fundamentally volcanic area, but if you want to swim in the sea, the beach area is perfectly adequate. The pool area is immaculate and lots of staff providing support for those that needed it and the children's activities etc..... It is a little irritating having to wear a 2EU swim hat, but everyone has to do so, so basicaly everyone looks daft as a consequence. The staff at the reception were helpful, supporting us with trips out, helpinh hire scooters, and transfers to the airport etc.... The onsite restaurant was pleasant and convenient enough, and we ate there a couple of times - with the pizza being particularly enjoyable and reasonably priced. I di dread some criticism over the breakfast, and it was just OK, but sitting in front of the most beautiful view overlooking the Bay of Naples, was worth it!!! The most impressive thing however is the following: On my first visit, I had been wondering around the little shop and when I had gone to pay, using the campsite cards, which I had just topped up with 40eu, I had lost it!!!! Now this wasnt the end of the world, but very irritating. However, on my return stay 3 months later, the lady in the shop actually recognised me and had actually found my card (with the 40EU still on it) and handed it back to me!! This blew me away!!!1 Therefore, when I read negative comments about the staff at the campsite, made by others, this simply was not our experience! I loved the quirkiness, the layout, the rambling natural beauty of the place and therefore am really looking forward to sharing with other members of my family this gem of a place, and all it has to offer! PS : probably not suitable for those with mobility issues
