Il Ciliegio

We stayed here in July/August 2018 for 2 weeks with a family of 4 and our friends of a family of 4. The house is in a fantastic location for day trips out to Pitigliano, Sorano and the coast is only an hour away. The house is very rustic Italian, nice big rooms and to say there were 8 of us in there, we did not get cramped once. The kitchen is filled with everything you may need, the fridge could do with being slightly better as it was not particularly very cold! The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of beds available, the bathrooms again were big enough. The owners are fab, we had an issue with drainage from the washing machine and they came and fixed it the same night. My one complaint would be that for a 2 week holiday, the house does not come serviced and there was no cleaning equipment as such provided to be able to clean it ourselves. A mop for example would have been handy, especially with 4 messy children! There is no air conditioning here either and I would imagine as it got hotter into the summer months, this would be a problem, we suffered with it in July at 32 degrees! The gardens are gorgeous, beware of mossies and horse flies though and the pool is lovely and refreshing and cleaned and maintained daily by the owners. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday, can highly recommend the local tuscan red wine! There are plenty of places to visit nearby, we had 4 children aged between 2 and 10 with us and they were never bored. This was my first time in Tuscany and we all loved it!
